Never too early to look ahead to 2007 season By John Clayton

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

Washington Redskins
Cap room: $4.3 million
Don't expect the Redskins to go crazy in free agency. They have 11 free agents, but only LB Warrick Holdman is a starter. There could be significant roster changes, though. Gibbs could wipe out quarterback Mark Brunell, wide receiver David Patten, safety Troy Vincent, kicker John Hall, wide receiver Brandon Lloyd and safety Adam Archuleta. T.J. Duckett will leave in free agency. The Redskins figure to make major improvements along the defensive front seven, which became less athletic last season. The key to the team's playoff chances is how Jason Campbell develops at quarterback
.

Clayton mush have fell and hit his head.
The Skins won't go crazy in free agency ROTFALMAO
With 4 total draft picks and almost no teams tagging players this year, how else will we fill the holes on "D" :?:

I think he's right...or at least I hope he is. I think we draft a DLineman, sign a MLB and DB, and maybe get a little depth on the OLine. No need for anything else. Let's give continuity a try and see how it works.

We may need to invite 20 rookies to camp to fill our roster!

I wonder what the cap implications would be if we did do these things. I don't think we will be getting rid of Brunell so it sounds pretty silly, but what would be the result of the rest of those moves.

I don't know why we would cut B-Lloyd?

I mean, I don't remember his contract being one of those ridiculous $30 Million dollar ones.

Archuleta, fine, he sucks and he's worth cutting even if it hurts us this year becuase we have Prioleau comming back, and maybe Vincent.

But like Clayton said, this season comes down to JC and if he can gel with the wideouts on those 10 yard comebacks and stuff.

It was.

For Redskins WR Brandon Lloyd, who signed a six-year, $30 million contract,

I think we keep B Lloyd and MB will be gone. I think JC is going to show us how far this team is going to go next year. I'm still worried about him, I just feel he should of been in there from the start not becuse i think MB can't do it but becuse i think he can lead us someday its just man there was some passes i was like what the....? But I like our chance to do something next year 5-11 is not what the skins are really.

Maybe I missed something, but isn't Dock a free agent who was also a starter? :hmm:

Maybe he meant unrestricted srtarter.

Even with that he forgot Vernon Fox.

Maybe he meant unrestricted starter who started all season.

Heck... either way you need to clarify or get your facts straight Johnny Boy!

And on top of that, I don't see Brunell, Patten, Lloyd, or Archuleta going anywhere.
