Most Improved Player - 2007

Post by Justice Hog »

I'm gonna throw this out to all of you. Which Redskins player do you think will be the most improved player in 2007? I'm going to list several players. Pick one from the list - or select "other" and name your own!

I think I would have added Golston to the list. If you were asking for most improved player for 2006, my vote would have gone to him. For 2007, I think McIntosh will be the comer on the list.

I think Carlos Rogers is going to bounce back next year. Especially if we get even an average pass rush.

I not sure if he fits with this category, but I'm going with Clinton Portis. Betts was more successful later in the season due to more zone blocking schemes and a real passing threat in Campbell, IMO. We all know that Clinton likes this style and had his best days when running behind the zone blocking. Portis must be licking his chops and should rebound with a nice year.

i'm tempted to vote for carter, because he seemed to start "coming on" toward the end of the year. however, i feel like the most improved player next year will have to be carlos rogers, simply because it would seem almost impossible to be nearly as bad as he was this year, again.

Looking at the names you chose to list, I went with Brandon Lloyd. I think he'll benefit from Campbell's development and will really work his tail off to make a positive impact next year. Last year was so poor for him, he has to have a real chance to make a huge improvement.

The same argument could be made for Carlos Rogers - they're both a heck of a lot better than they showed us last season.

Campbell. No question about it.

I'm going to choose Lloyd. JC is the easy pick because he has nowhere to go but up.

What about our line. I mean, we had a ok line in 05 but O line in 06 was one of the best? I picked other. We didn't see JC play last year and the FA's signed last year didn't play for us in 05 and same for rookies, and Cooley is a constant, dominat every year. Id say the O-line

I voted for Campbell, but I think Andre Carter will step it up big time.

I voted for Archuleta. I'd like to see him put in a role where we use his strengths in various packages.

To take this alittle further I would name D. Dock. He was the only real question on the line, and he stepped up big.

I'm sure we all want it to be Campbell.

Hopefully we'll get our wish.

Cooley is solid as a rock already he is already pro bowl caliber. Betts had a very nice year so any improvement wouldnt be much of a difference.
Campbells play will affect largely how Lloyd does so I do expect improvement with his play especially with a healthy Portis.
Rogers We need desperatly for Rogers to improve I expect him to bounce back if he can work on his overall quickness and speed Rogers just seems to get beat deep he is strong enough to bump any reciever its just getting beat deep where he needs to improve.
Andre Carter will improve only if we can improve on the interior,If we can stop the run that creates passing situations in which Andre Carter can shine so depending on who we pick up in the offseason hopefully beastly Dts or One stud DEnd ala Gaines or Jamal.
Taylor is already Pro Bowl Caliber not much to improve on that. He had to overcompensate for the other weaknesses which made him look bad. But he still had plenty of tackles. Anytime your FS is close to leading the team in tackles that is not good. It means our front seven is not stopping the run and to many recievers catching the pass. Taylor will be a beast like always not much to improve other than being discipline and staying with assignment.
Roger Mcintosh showed alot of promise with his late insertion last year. With a starting role I see Mcintosh turning into pro bowl caliber type player. With steady improvement Mcintosh could be the next Derrick Brooks type player. He is not really big but is fast and strong and should be able to be a nice cover 2 linebacker. Improvement will be alot next season. Especially with improved Dline.
Adam Archuletta will be the most improved.
1. He had a horrible season last year cant do much worse.
2. Second year in new system
3. Has all the tools to be successfull.
4. He has been successfull before and has been an All pro previously.
5. cause I said so!
