Is 2007 the 75th Anniversary season

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

Is 2007 the 75th Anniversary season

Post by DaveButzguy »

I know 2002 for the 70th Ann. season, the Skins brought out a sweet maroon alternate jersey/helmet and had a cool looking patch to celebrate that season. I hope they bring back that jersey and use a special 75th patch on the jerseys. The maroon jersey is still listed as there alternate. They haven't used it since the one game in 2003 vs the Saints. It had the GSS patch on it that year. I think that was for Dan's dad???? I hope they do something similar like the 02 season. Any talk they have a special jersey and patch in the works for this season? or worse case, a cool looking patch and maroon jersey and helmet gets taken out of storage for a couple games. NFL rules only allow teams to use there alternate jersey 2 times a season.

Really? I actually hated those Maroon jerseys.

I mean, it was like a purple/maroon jersey with like barf gold pants. While the spear on the helmet was alright, I just though it was not a good looking uni.

I'll prefer Burgandy and real Gold any day.

Ask and you shall receive!

Official 75th anniversary Jersey was JUST put on sale:

A little different, and it SEEMS to pay homage to the Snyder era but hey, I like it.

Bring back the Feather helmet/USC looking uniforms. They look great (almost) on the Redskinets. List it as an alternate uni so it can only be worn 4 games.
By the way, am I the only one that thinks the powder blue chargers uni is gay! I still don't know what everyone sees in them.

I love B&G.....

I don't know how "fans" can prefer that white on white trash we've been wearing.

I remember when they brought out the white/white uni's, LaVar said they may even try maroon/maroon. I wonder what that would look like. I did like the maroon jerseys with white pants.

The B&B looked great imo, people here don't seem to like it.

I also am not really in favor of white on white. I would prefer white on burgundy and burgundy tops with the gold pants.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

After thinking about it, I'd really like to see the Burgundy over Burgundy with black shoes. Could present an intimidating with that combo, IMO.
