This subject is so last-year.

It seems all of the objecters to this pro-Palestinaian book happen to be jewish - Shocking.

Nice anti-semitic remark!

The reason I brought this back up is because the "Today show" did a clip of how a lot of people were objecting to what is in the book. Also, not everyone who's speaking out against the book are Jewish
Cappster, I know you're technically addressing the remark but using anti-Semite is way too close to a personal attack, if you want to go in that direction, take it to Smack

I agree. My point, anyhow, was that the book (and Carter) was being attacked by those who already had a pro-Israel agenda or sentiment (e.x. being Jewish).

not everyone who's speaking out against the book are Jewish

This might be true. I invite you demonstrate these few, though.

According to ATV, Jews are championing Truth, that would be pro-Semitic.

I'm sure ATV can't believe Republicans, libertarians independents and any Democrats remaining still believing in Truth over The Party are not all Jewish.

What?

ATV is saying it is Jews leading the attack on Jimmy "America Sucks" Carter. Truth is truth, it is not Jewish or non-Jewish. So ATV is saying the Jews are leading the charge to truth, isn't that a compliment?

BTW, ATV. I heard that Jews control the international financial markets, but I never believed it. You sound like you're up on these things, it that true?

Do the Jews control the US government? Is that why we're supporting Israel? They would fall without our support. Is it the Jews?

I'm not trying to do a personal attack. The remark that I made was my intial reaction when I read his post. Kind of a knee jerk reaction.

As far as demonstrating who is speaking out against the book, I cannot remember their names. One was someone who helped Carter work on his book. The rest didn't look very Jewish to me. I didn't see a yamika on top of their heads!

I don't want to argue or get into any deep political discussions. I just wanted to point out that more than just a select few THN members feel that Carter's book is full of garbage. I personally couldn't care less. I am not buying or reading his book. I just remembered this thread so I decided to post what I heard.

ATV is saying it is Jews leading the attack on Jimmy "America Sucks" Carter.

I never wrote that. I'm sure there are plenty of jewish people that agree with Carter. There is no Jewish conspiracy.

Yet another example of you trying to stereotype me by putting words in my mouth. Lame.

Really, I was putting words in your mouth when you said:

And you are against stereotyping and putting words in people's mouths?

A) Happen to be Jewish, thereby likely already having a sentiment.

B) You ARE one of those "government-fearing Michigan Militia types", or at least you're a government-fearing "Survivalist", as you've admitted.

C) Half in jest, but (of course) you knew this (because I've already explained this to you).

Um...you were perfect. You missed all three points.

BTW. I remember when you were not doing too well in a debate so you called me a racist. Then later made the weak self-rationalizing excuse for it. But I dont' remember an actual explanation.

I don't remember that. I think you remember that.

so you called me a racist

I don't remember that, either.

My apologies, this is my fault for responding to you. You should study Crazyhorse's posts. While he is hard left, he actually has personal views rather then just repeating verbatim what the Democratic party says.

But since you asked, I will remind you.

1) You thought survivalists are afraid of black people. Actually they are afraid of government.

2) You were OK with liberals calling Clarance Thomas "Uncle Tom" and Condie Rice "Aunt Jemima." You agreed if a Republican did that to a Democrat you would have a cow.

3) You didn't remember the Clarance Thomas hearings.

4) You think Clarance Thomas has a big pecker because he's black. As you put it you called him "Long Dong Silver."

5) You don't think telling someone they are afraid of "colored people" coming to their door is calling them a racist.

6) You don't think telling someone they think Jews have tails is calling them anti-Semitic.

7) You thought the Fair Tax is a flat tax. Actually, it is a national sales tax.

8 You thought a libertarian is an anarchist. A libertarian believes in restricting government to those things government can do to maximize liberty. The courts, defense, roads, the police, ... An anarchist believes in literally no government.

9) You thought in Chappaquiddick that Kennedy was accused of driving into the water intentionally. Actually he was accused of leaving the scene and letting Mary Jo die, which is supported by her having asphyxiated.

10) You don't think Ted Kennedy should be held accountable for his murder at Chappaquiddick in the 60s because it was a long time ago and he has been a liberal Democrat ever since.

11) You do think George W Bush should be held accountable for his DUI in the 70s because he is not a liberal Democrat

12) You think that since Anita Hill accused a Republican, Clarance Thomas of harassment he is guilty. You reject Paula Jones and liberal activist Kathleen Wiley's accusations as "what they are worth" becuase they accused a liberal Democrat of harassment.

Frankly, if you try not to respond to my posts I will really try not to respond to yours. I love debating liberals, but you NEVER SAY ANYTHING and it drives me insane. There has to be some content. Something. Please, let's stay away from each other.

BTW, when I say say to study Crazyhorse, I mean to see that he has personal views, I don't mean to start copying everything he says as you do Howard Dean now.

More of the same, more putting words in my mouth. Sorry, but I'm on the record for everything I've ACTUALLY written.

Similarly, these neverending lists of warped misinterpretations, i.e. "swiftboating" are now part of your record.

Regarding the "So-and-so who agrees with you is (fill in the blank with some positive comment), but you're not" junk, these sad tactics aren't just the domain of middle-school cafeterias, but also employed every other day by Bill O'Reilly (whom I'm sure you must adore). Here he is at 3:20 using the tactic (via Colbert) on Jon Stewart.....

ROTFALMAO

1) Another example of your vacuous hypocrisy. I know every time I have to explain it to you. Try actually looking at the bolded parts and thinking of them together.

- We've never discussed Bill O'Reilly. You have no idea what I think of him.

- Bill O'Reilly is a conservative. I'm a libertarian. Why would I particularly like him?

2) Do you notice I addressed your post, you say things like "these neverending lists of warped misinterpretations, i.e. 'swiftboating' are now part of your record." You keep using liberalisms and unsubstantiated references.

- I didn't particularly pay attention to the Swiftboaters claims because Kerry said enough on the military himself. But you assume they are lying. Why? Because liberal blogs tell you so and the liberal media assumes it? You are assuming they are. I'm making no claim on the swiftboaters, you are assuming one and then using it as an "argument."

- And on your shots at me, nothing specific again, just vague unsubstantiated claims.

3) On the list, look at your shots at me here. You made every statement in the list. Many you didn't know and said so, like what libertarians are and Chappaquiddick and the Clarance Thomas hearings. Others you said in your rants, like about the blacks. For some reason, you dont' believe I can bring up your sarcastic rants. They don't apply. That is absurd. You clearly made every statement in my list.

So, This is exactly why I am proposing we stop replying to each other's posts. I'm tired of having to keep explaining and re-explaining things to you and there is no content in your posts.

You tell me, because I didn't need any persuading. I found it passionate, though.
