Parcell's Retiring!!!!!!

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

T.O. Wins again. Ruined San Fran, and is now ruining Dallas, but do I care, hell no.

Also Jake, this thread should have been locked, the other guy posted his first.

Now let's all pray that Grimm doesn't end up with the pokes. He may not return to the Steelers after being passed up or Tomlin may have his own men to coach.

Bring Grimm back here!

Wow, I'm really surprised Parcells left the game.

Now I wonder who they will get.

Owens was staying but had nothing to do with Parcells retirement, I think
he realizes at 66..His better days are behind him and it's time to leave the
game to the young guys who can be around longer than he can, He built
the foundation of young talent, Now like the Giants, Jets and Patriots the
Cowboys can use what Parcells did to spring board them to the next level that they want to go

I just think he realized his team isn't as talented as he thought, and it's going to take a few years.

I wouldn't say they are not good talent wise..I just think Bill has takin them as far as he can go with them and now. It's time to hand it off
and let someone younger finish the race, The foundation is in place
but it's everything else that has to get put together

I think his "pro bowl QB" sitting in the middle of the field crying was the last straw!

Since, Gibbs has returned, his the only NFC EAST team he doesn't have a losing record against is the Parcells' coached Cowboys.

I hate the idea of Russ Grimm possibly coaching the Cowgirls!

I do not think that Grimm is going to find it's very easy to get to a HC from where he is now - I think Pittsburgh was his best chance and he now needs to get a offensive co-ordinator job in order to get to the HC level.

I think Grimm will surprise people but I am not sure why he did not seem to get the sort of hype he should and deserves. But then again, who am I?

There is little doubt that Parcells saw what was in store and did not want any part of another season like that.

JJ will try and get a "star" coach for his little boys in blue
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

He never left the Giants, Patriots or Jets seeming to care what happened to the team once he was gone. He'd screw them (Pats) and raid their staff and roster as much as possible. I just don't think he's thinking of himself as a Cowboy once he walks out the door. The reports even had him approaching the Giants about GM. I don't see it.

The final straw was his inability to motivate the players and coming to
the realization..That some times it's better to step away when you
realize you just can't do it any more..and maybe part of Bill thought
he could still do it. But the reality is it was time to step away and let
someone else run with it from here

That's just a 'Pie fan trying to make it seem as if there is a bright side to this. Well... a bright side from their perspective; it's pretty bright from where I'm standing.

My question is: Has this most recent unretirement hurt the Fat Tuna's chances for induction into the HOF?

He left the Jets due to his health and the Patriots because Kraft and him
were at odds over how to build the team, but things in Dallas were alot
different, Jerry gave Bill whatever he wanted. and as I stated before I
think Bill may have been fooling him self if he thought he could still do
it week in and week out. However he never quit and he gave it the ole
college try. He can't be ashamed of what he's done during his coaching
carrer and I think his time in Dallas, Has been productive and well spent

Their is plenty of bright side but you just want to spin the negative angles
to suit your own ideas, Me I realize Parcells didn't accomplish what he had
set out to do in Dallas which was win a super bowl, But he gave the team
a direction they could build upon for years to come..Young talent and a
path to follow with 3 out of 4 years coming in as winning seasons, I'd say
he brought plenty of light to the Cowboys. Especially after the way Jerry
ruined the team after Jimmy left
