Redskins Report

Post by SkinzCanes »

On tonight's show Sonny, Doc Walker, George, and Riggins talked about the Portis interview and other issues:

Sonny-Team was lucky not to be 3-13.

Riggins-First Gibbs team to have this type of internal bickering. Team is in a little bit of crisis, but thinks that it can be fixed by the time August comes around. Time for Snyder to be a leader because needs someone to help him because he is in a state of confusion. Deadly part is that Gibbs/Snyder don't have a business relationship because Snyder wants to be Gibbs' friend. Complete confusion at the top of the organization. Need to bring in a GM. Rogers could very well be an NFL bust. Thinks Portis will be the opening day running back.

Doc Walker-Too many titles for all the coaches. Taylor had a bad year because of the disruption in the secondary and the coaches/units not meeting together. Redskins praised Brunell's 22 straight completions but the rest of the NFL was laughing. Thinks that Betts will be because Portis wont do much in training camp.

George-Too many chefs in the kitchen. If all the same people are still around for next season then there is going to be trouble.

Worst part was all 4 of them thought that the Super Bowl will be the Eagles and the Ravens. I will not be able to watch. I hate BOTH of those teams. I sure hope they are all wrong on THAT prediction!!!

That would be even worse than the Giants/Ravens Super Bowl.

Really?? Personally I love the guy. He was a great player for us and he's entertaining on tv and the radio, and always tells it like it is and doesn't hold back. Why do you think that he's a piece of crap?

Well, this is my opinion remember.

I know how our team was this year, they played pretty crappy, but he was always acting as if he was the best damn thing that ever happend to the Redskins. That the new guys cant compare to the older Redskins players. I know he doesnt directly say this, but thats pretty much how I feel.

I know he was an excellent player, dont get me wrong, but he just drives me insane, especially when he doesnt go with the Redskins. Whether or not we will win, or we know pretty much we wont win, Sonny always goes for them, and thats why I think I like him, he knows they arent doing good, but he doesnt act as if hes better.

Didn't mean to dog your opinion in any way. Was just curious as to why you felt that way.

I think their jobs are in serious trouble! None of them are very bright so I don't take their opinion has a lot of merit.

I remember rooting for the Giants in that one...
But I don't think I could bring myself to root for the Eagles. UGH

Oh I figured you wouldnt, just didnt want people who just skim through post decide to go nut mode on me.

I mean, I guess Riggins isnt to bad, but like I said, I just feel at times hes trying to say the Redskins cant compare to him.

I love Riggins the player, but I think Riggins the journalist talks out of his butt too much.

Riggins is better, simply put. He has never been a humble guy, nor has he ever shirked responsibility.
I won't go into a whole diatribe on Riggo , because you already know the history...but if he can sidle up to a sitting Supreme Court Justice and hit on her, he can thrown his two cents in about the team.
