Did you hear what they said?

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

I mean, some of the stuff Clinton said I was like, "Yeah, he's right".

But then he said some stuff that was totally out of bounds and I still can't believe he said that.

Dang it, shut up CP before you do something really stupid...

That "stuff" really got to me too. I too said yeah right to some of that "stuff" and on other "stuff" I was like where that "stuff" come from

Since you decided to take it there...

From the book of Proverbs (NIV):

[chapter:verse]
10:14 - Wise men store up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool invites ruin.

10:19 - When words are many, sin is not absent , but he who holds his tongue is wise.

12:18 - Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

29:11 - A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control.

And that's just a sampling of what the Good Book talks about our words. I would go out on a limb and say Joe didn't want CP to look like a fool, which, unfortunately, at times during his interview, he did. My 2 cents

Based on the quotes from the articles that have come out recently it seems like some of the coaches feel the same way also. And it's not like he's the only player that has publicly criticized the team...[or]... the way some things are done at Redskins Park.

SC - You raise some very interesting points, and I agree, CP is not the only one who has made public omments about the team. However, I would say that CP's comments are more damning, simply because he made his comments during one of his PAID appearances on the JT show.

Did he all of a sudden develop a lack of judgment when the Skins are not paying for his time?

Something to ponder...if a high level executive of a corporation went on CNN and heavily criticized his own company, how fast would he be receiving his severance package and pink slip?

Athletes, while not executives, should use better judgment when addressing issues (particularly in-house ones) on air, in print, and, overall, in public. My 2 cents

CP seems like he was the only one willing to put his name behind his comments for better or for worse...

Gibbs brought Portis here with him, it's a ploy to get the un-named source or should we say sources (after the 3-day WP articles) to Man-Up and put their name to what they said. Then they can cut him and move on.

I think many people are crazy for all the bad things they are saying about Clinton. In no way did he disrespect Gibbs. Clinton bleeds burgendy and gold, if the team and coaches had half the zest as CP we might go undefeated. I think CP is a stand up man and tells things as they are PERIOD.

Why is it so many fools here are calling for CP's head? The man basically put it all out there so we as fans will understand what is going on. I personally prefer this over hearing Gibbs constant babble and not saying anything. Maybe now Gibbs will be forced to see things as they are and go back to coaching and leave the front office BS alone. Perhaps this single interview by CP will allow the snitches and lazy underperforming bumbs to get out of here! I am tired of the super smart crap every week, I am sick of seeing all the talent be over played every week. I hope Clinton is the reason why we return to greatness next year! I would rather have CP with me in a fox hole than the snitches and players scared to put there name out there in interviews.
