Broncos?
The Denver Broncos have now got Champ Bailey, Delta O'Neil, and John Lynch. Their offense isn't bad either Jake Plummer, Quentin Griffin, and Ashley Lelie. Are they contenders?

They have also added TE Weaver, DT Ellis, DE's Coleman and Raylee Johnson. The locked up Al Wilson, who is very underrated. They have one of the best O-lines every year. Shanahan is a great coach, and they have one of the best Offensive Cooridinators in Kubiak.
Since Shanahan started Coaching in Denver in 1995, the team has averaged 10 wins a year. They have had several backs that people felt were overrated or not up to par. They love to prove people wrong, and don't be suprised if they draft an insurance back to compete against Griffin.
Now I'm not sold on Plummer or Griffin, if they had a different QB that I'd say maybe a Super Bowl contender. BUT because the case is out on Griffin and Jake the Snake, I still think that if Kansas City shotty D gets better than they will have the upper hand in the division.
So my answer is contender for division: sure, but not for Super Bowl, but they are defenitely headed in the right direction.

Shanahan said O'Neal will never play CB for him again.
O'Neal's a receiver but Bailey definitely makes up for his... loss.
I like who they added, as Skin_to_the_bone mentioned. And STTB, when you mean Ellis... did you mean Greg Ellis?
Griffin is a good 600-940 yard back but I don't think he will accomplish too much if he's a full time starter. I have liked him since he was at Oklahoma but all of that weight he added won't help him too much over the course of a season, despite what he did a few times last year.

Couldn't agree more. Heck Spurrier coached you guys to a win over the eventual champs. Anybody's got a shot.
Well I'll amend that to anyone except the Raiders, Cardinals and Giants. They'll all be terrible next year.
This space reserved for BTP......If he ever wins it.

Luther Ellis, they picked him up on Tuesday.

I'm really going nuts. I was just talking about Luther Ellis going to Denver yesterday. I've known about that since he went there.
HUGE brain fart!

Anyone who says that "Quentin Griffin isn't a good RB" obviously doesn't watch college football. The guy was absolutely awesome in college. He reminded me a lot of Barry Sanders. So I disagree (even with Jake). QG is going to be a great back...why do you think they let Clinton Portis go? Just to let everyone know I have no allegiance to Oklahoma I actually went to Maryland (Class of 98) so I have no bias in my opinion. The guy is just a good back IMHO!

See that Jake, these damn brain farts are contagious. I still think my Seattle in the AFC post was worse

Now that they signed Garrison Hearst to compete with Griffin, they are looking much more like a contender. I'm still not sold on Plummer. Turnovers is a huge part of winning championships, Jake the Snake creates a lot of TOs. But this new Defenese, and Hearst joining might be the early favorites for the West and could really do some damage if Plummer is healthy and works on his flaws.
