How do we stack up against the East

Post by since1979 »

Hello every one. It has been since the exit of Marty and the enterance of Steve since I have posted. The last two years have been rough. Anyway to the point, how do you think we will do against the other East teams. Here is what I think

Cowboys

Win both games for once (I just couldnt help it)

Eagles

1 and 1 I hope the addition of TO doesnt prove to be the missing piece of the Eagle puzzle that is if he remains level headed.

Giants

Crush the poor fools two times.

You know I was truely going to give up all hope after this year... But thinks to our money spending owner my faith has been restored. Gibbs is the real deal that is for sure...

I say we are gonna do things a little differently. The Eagles will be swept. Call me crazy, but Gibbs has always had a hatred for Philly ever since Fat @ss Buddy Ryan was coach. There was a great story about it in the Post that Tony Kornheiser wrote righty after we got Gibbs back. We will beat them and set the tone for what lies in our future. The Cowboys we will split. I would love to see up mop their faces up both times, but I think they will both be close games, each team edging out the other at home. The Giants is hard to predict. They always do well when then are predicted to to poorly. I will say split only because it crazy things always happen when we play the Giants. And hopefully no man named Gus will be head-butting the wall either.

4-2 in the division. Much better than last years 1-5.

The Eagles will split against the Cowboys and sweep the Giants giving them a 3-3 record.

The Cowboys will split vs the Giants.leaving them at 3-3 and the Giants at 2-4.

then again.....we'll have to kick back and wait it out, its gonna be a great year regaurdless.

No matter how we fair against the division, it will be a great deal better than what we did against the OBC. 1-5 this year, no better the year before. That was dreadful. Gibbs won't stand for that, and he won't allow us to lose to our divisional opponents.

Talent/ Depth
_________
1. Redskins
2. Eagles
3. Cowboys
4. Giants

Coaching
___________
1. Joe Gibbs
2. The Tuna
3. Tom Coughlin/ Andy Reid

Skins rank highest on these two scales, but to be the best you have to beat the best. My unbiased opinion is that the Eagles are the best team in the division, we are second, followed by the Boyz and then the G-men...

While biased... I can't honestly come out with a 6-0. I would be happy with 3-3 this year while hoping for better.

We will have new coaches and players to integrate... and depending on the draft, we may still have some holes to fill on the DLine. There will be changes at starting positions. IF we go 8-8 this year, that is a +3 gain I could live with and put us in a decent position for the draft next year. If we do better than that I will be happier than a Hog in the trenches :)

I love that Williams knows Jevon Kearse through and through, and I thinks it's enough to nearly neutralize him.
I'll say we split the Eagles, sweep the Giants and split the Cowboys. They'll win here, we'll win there. That gives us 4-2, and I'll stick with that.

I agree with TCwest on this one for both the skins and cowboys.
