I cannot believe Romo made the Pro Bowl
It goes to show how biased the media is towards Parcells and the cowpatties and how fans buy into all of the hype. Everyone nees to get off of his jock strap all ready!

I don't have a big problem with the homo getting in but Lynch and Williams' selections are just stupid and is a reflection on both the true value of this made for TV promo and the people who vote.
The other part of this stupidity is that they actually play this game
personally I stopped watching the game a few years ago - it really means even less than the pre season games and is actually an opportunity to hurt someone for no reason at all. This stuff would be better as a fantasy game or one of those video games.
hopefully anyone who did not really deserve to get there, plays, and has someone who does deserve to be there, hurt them - I will not be watching

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

IMO, Romo has played well enough to earn it while Vick has not. Don't like the Cowboys, but I'm not surprised by this pick.
Next year, look for Jason Campbell to get the nod!

Aside from Brees and Bulger, I'd say Vick. Love him or hate him, that man has had to deal with more dropped passes and more frustrations than Romo (and Romo plays with T.O., so that's saying something) -- and he's still had some amazing performances.
Romo would be my pick at #4 in the NFC. But it doesn't really matter to me, because the NFC is pretty weak in this category (just like a few others). Look at the AFC. . .Manning, Palmer, Rivers are the starters there. All three would beat out the NFC candidates (although Brees would make it somewhere in there), and Tom Brady would push for a spot before Bulger, Vick, or Romo as well.
Now, how Roy Williams made it again this season is what really perplexes me. (Perplex in the sense that I could have predicted it but am still just a little bit surprised when it actually happens). I'm not even one to say that Taylor should have made it, but to see Williams back in the ProBowl is near comical.

For once I agree, but I can't offer any solid opinions.
My best guess is they're going on what he did the first 8 weeks of the year.
Biggest snub by far (other than TO, but we all know why he's not there) was Newman. Lito Sheppard and DeAngelo Hall can't even touch him.
Guess you need to start gambling to be a Pro Bowl corner instead of doing your job and making sure your guy doesn't catch the ball.
Oh yeah, and start hooting and hollering everytime you break a pass up, talk trash every play, start intercepting some saliva every once in a while.

I can understand that there are few good quarterbacks in the NFC and that probably catapulted Romo into the Pro Bowl. Being in the playoffs also help. It just annoys me that Romo is getting all of this hype. I guess by replacing old man Bledsoe and actually utilizing the talent on the team and not getting sacked all of the time certifies him in making the Pro Bowl.
. Where is the talent in the NFC?

I think even Cowboys fans would admit that at the moment Tony Romo is the most overrated and overhyped player in the NFL.
Having said that, who do you put in over him?
Grossman- Absolutely awful since Week 5.
Vick- Way too inconsistent
Manning- Ditto
McNabb- Injured
Hasselbeck- Injured
And so on...
There's just no other person to put in there.
All the truly special, healthy QBs not named Drew Brees are in the AFC this season.

The probowl is just a joke now. It's all reputation just a bunch of junk to make more money. Im surprised Mike Alsott didn't make it at FB for the 15th straight year even though he plays tailback.. No Micheal Vick either even though he cant hit the broadside of a barn and runs around like a circus??? Surprising. At least Roy Williams is starting at safety even though he consistanly gets smoked game after game. Voting needs to go back in the hands of the players and coaches...

Was pretty good 2 weeks ago and was great this week hence his 100+ QB rating (for the 5th or 6th game) and his NFC offensive player of the week award this week. I think his swing has gone through it's down cycle and is now back on the upswing - just in time.

Which makes Romo perfect for what the Pro bowl is... overrated and overhyped

Agreed, but I'd still would go with Vick had it not been for that double dirty bird he flashed at his own fans a few weeks ago.

Sad but true, at least those that have played 8 games or more, and Romo has only had 1 bad game in the eight he started/ nine he played in.
I can emember the last Pro Bowl that I watched anyway... 1 more reason not to watch.

Point is, the cat has only played a few games so we really don't know how good he is. He looks like he will be good but that does not mean he will be, like a rookie pitcher in baseball his first rotation through the league. That said, I would have put Vick or Farve or just about any other QB ahead of him. By your logic why not put Jeff Garcia i? He's played well in a few games too.

This is true but I would argue that Romo has been more valuable to the Cowboys than Grossman has to the Bears. The Bears have won 2 games this year (Cardinals, Vikings) COMPLETELY in spite of Grossman's play. I don't think there's any way you could put him in the Pro Bowl.

I did Vick..does it matter who I say?? You will say no one is better. I can understand the Romo pick, I just don't like it over Vick. Vick has played every game and has his team in the playoff hunt and set an NFL record for rushing. Romo stepped into a great situation, I think the way Romo has played says more about how bad Bledsoe was then how good he is. I know many QB's in the league who would've loved to step into the what Romo did.
