The Redskins could end up with Gaines Adams and Paul Posluzny, and also add a pick.
Kiper thinks that Adams will be in the mid-first round when the juniors declare, and he thinks Posluzny will slip to the late second-early third because he was coming off injury last year.
If they could get adams, trade down for posluzny in the second while gaining a pick, that would be a good start to rebuilding. Doubt they will pull something like that though.

1 first round pick = Adams (if not swaped with Denver).
No 2nd round pick = no Posluzny or additional picks.
as of now....
What I'd like to see happen is Denver gets back on a winning streak (cant even think of hoping the Skins lose... so Denver has to win out too). This way our #1 will be worth more than a high #3 when compared to Denver's, and some team is will to part with a mid to late 2nd rounder in order to swap #1s with us. This would give us 3 day one picks even after we swap 1s with Denver, I"d use all 3 picks on the DEFENSIVE side of the ball whoever the best defensive player that is available when we hit the clock is who I'd pick, regardless of position.

damn they don't have a second rounder either? I thought lloyd was for a third? Where did the second go? Also i forgot abou the whole swapping with denver. They are so stupid, who thought up that swapping clause anyway?

Gaines alright but Posluszny...
I would LOVE to have Posluszny! But I don't think he'll slip to the 2nd round though despite what Mel thinks. Is that guy ever right?!?!? Move Lemar to the outside and have Paul Posluszny take over at MLB. Man...I've got to stop daydreaming.

I don't think we'll end up having to swap 1's with Denver.
Why can't this team ever consider the future when they are making moves...
i'm pretty sure when they drafted rocky, they said they thought he could play any of the LB positions... i've been wondering if they plan to have him be the MLB and move lemar back to the outside. maybe that's why it's taking so long? since MLB is supposedly the "quarterback of the defense", maybe it takes a good while for a rookie to really learn that position in GW's system.
who knows.

You wouldn't lose a 1 and a 3. If we SWAP first rounders with Denver we would keep our third. That is what I hope actually happens. Lets say we have a top 10 pick and Denver picks somewhere in the mid to late 20s I think that is worth more than a 3rd round pick. I wonder if there is any way we can pick up even more picks in that cases?
Does anyone know where you can find that draft pick chart?

I found a draft chart. Right now the Skins would pick anywhere from 7th to 10th and Denver would pick from 22 to 26. Based on that the best case value Skin picking 7th and Denver 26th if they swapped the difference would be 800 points or worth an first round pick (the 21st to be exact). The worst case senario would be 10 to 22 or 520 or worth the 38th pick in the drafty (2nd round). The first pick in the 3rd round is worth 265 points and the 10 th pick is 220. If the Skins and Broncos were to swap first rounders the math says that the Skins would keep their 3rd rounder and the Broncos still would have to make up somewhere between 250 to 400 points. That is the value of a mid 2nd rounder to very high third. So the value of swapping picks would mean that if the Broncos traded up with the Skins, the Skins would get the Broncos 1st, 2nd, and keep the Skins would keep their 3rd.
Of course the Skins probably have exactly what will happen in the trade agreement and Denver will get over on them yet again!
