That just gives me a warm fuzzy to know that the Skins are the only NFC East team NOT to be in the playoff picture. Hell, the Eagles don't even have McNabb and are still alive. This team better find an identity this offseason otherwise we'll be in for another mediocre to poor season.

I see 4 teams we are only 2 games behind with 4 weeks left.

I see Dal with the Saints, @Falcons, Philly and Det= could lose all those!

Bottom line is if Tampa Bay@home and Was@home can win sunday then we will only be 1 game 1GAME behind 3 of the 4 teams listed as #5-8 in espn's "true playoff picture" with 3 games to go.

Giants, Philly, Atl, Car- ok Philly we'll pull to 1 game behind when we win
Gmen play Carolina so we'll be 1 game behind 1 of them when we win
Atlanta plays at Tampa and I'll bet Alstott has something for there defense
after Ladell posted 155.

we don't DESERVE to make the playoffs. if we make the playoffs, the NFC should be disbanded, undergo a year of retooling, then apply for readmission to the league on a provisional basis.

Yeah, I mean, who'd want a shot at the trophy, right?

The DCD post above is my nomination for "Dumbest Post of the Year". :x

..Actually, ANY post with a picture of Jesse Jackson in it should be the automatic winner of "Dumbest Post of the Year."

I assume his post is a little extreme, but really right on the point. The Skins don't deserve to make the playoffs. I must only be able to see part of his post though, because I don't see anywhere in it about not wanting a shot at the trophy.

If the NFC were dis-banded would the Skins not lose any shot what-so-ever at the trophy during that year that the NFL only had AFC teams?

What good would making the playoffs be now? is how I look at it, get the season over by winning out and get on with the task of righting this ship.
A week ago I said there was a good chance a 9-7 team would make the post-season, every team in that group lost last weekend minus Philly. They only flip-flop with the Panthers so nothing has really changed other than it maybe a 8-8 team that makes it. The Skins had a better chance of making it tied with a bunch of teams @ 9-7 than we do making it tied at 8-8

First runner-up....

Hey, if they make it in at 8-8, or at 6-10, they're in. Period. Sure they, migth not stand up to the great 10-6 Pittsburgh teams that won the trophy last year, but, it's not about how you start out the season, but how you finish it. An 8-8 record, and undefeated in the playoffs as a Wild card would really solidify their position as Champions.

Or we could be like the Colts who win all the time in the regular season and choke when it counts. Which do you prefer?

I prefer choking in the playoffs vs. the choking in the regular season we're currently enduring.

I didn't say they wouldn't BE in, just agreeing that they wouldn't DESERVE to be in.

Sure they, migth not stand up to the great 10-6 Pittsburgh teams that won the trophy last year,

How many 10-6 teams did Pittsburgh have last year?
but, it's not about how you start out the season, but how you finish it. An 8-8 record, and undefeated in the playoffs as a Wild card would really solidify their position as Champions.

The Skins didn't start the season well, and sure don't appear to be able to finish well.

Or we could be like the Colts who win all the time in the regular season and choke when it counts. Which do you prefer?

Frankly, the Skins choked last year in Seattle....what's your point? It's not like they make a habit of winning games. ANY part of the season.
