Redskins sign kicker Suisham By the Associated Press

ASHBURN, Va. -- The Washington Redskins signed Shaun Suisham from the practice squad Saturday, giving the team an alternative to struggling kicker Nick Novak for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Redskins coach Joe Gibbs was unavailable for comment, so it was unclear how he planned to use his two kickers. A likely scenario would have Suisham handling kickoffs and Novak kicking extra points and field goals.
Novak has made only 5 of 10 field goal attempts this season, and his kickoffs have been short. Suisham was primarily a kickoff specialist earlier this season with Dallas. He was signed to the Redskins practice squad on Tuesday.
To make room for Suisham on the active roster, the Redskins waived defensive tackle Ryan Boschetti.

John Hall is pretty much done (cost prohibited). I think Gibbs is looking for someone that can kickoff, which Vandy is no better than Novak. If we see Suisham on the FG unit than Novak is done too. Gibbs also mentioned something about a kicker that would be here for years. That sure doesn't sound like Hall and with Vandy in his slump you can't count on him long term right now
Edit: Suisham is doing ALL of the place kicking today

Suisham didn't have a kick land any further than 5 yards from the endzone, and actually put two of his three kicks within three-yards of the goal line. He also had plenty of leg on that 50-yarder, but missed it a little left. Sadly enough --- he was a major improvement.
We release Boschetti and they we have injuries to the D-line. I liked that guy. He made plays in the limit chances that he had. It sucks that he loses his job because Novak stinks!
