My $.02 on Sean Taylor
Personally, I think Sean Taylor would be the best pick we could get in the draft. Why? Well, first, despite what some may think, Ohalete is not bad. At all. He was the best DB in the NFC last year with alittle over 100 tackles. And that was under the Spurrier staff. Under Greg Williams, I see him going to the Pro-Bowl in a year or two. And if we were to get Sean Taylor, that would make one of the best duo of safties in the leauge, up there with Williams-Woodsen and Dawkins-Lewis, maybe even better given some time. They both are good run-stoppers, and both can cover. Not to mention, with the Rams THANKFULLY matching the offer for Butler, we still have the 5th pick in the second round I think.

no - we have the 5th pick in the 5th round which is all we would have had to give up to get a good proven DB... the Rams were smart to match him in my opinion...
I think if we go Taylor instead of trading down, which I think would be the smarter idea, we will be seeing a setup with LA and MW playing more DE on third downs and obvious pass situations with two or three other LB behind them depending on the formation set of the secondary...
I still hope we get Wilfork or Starks after trading down... better value and a much weaker section of the team - but that is just my

I'm hoping we get taylor.
We have 3 DE's on the staff now capable of starting on at least the 1st 2 downs. It shouldn't be too difficult to pick up a specialist rusher who is pants at anything else, either in the 5th or undrafted from a small school. Maybe that sort of player wouldn't be able to contribute much in a first season. Kalu was a 5th round and he eventually became a decent pass rusher.
I'm betting we'll get someone in to do a job there, leaving at least one of arrington/washington in the linebacking corps for passing downs.

I think Taylor is a stud. It would be the best pick the Skins can do. Remember, all of Gibbs team always had a strong defense and I think the addition of Taylor would make the defense so much stronger. He could be the best safety to ever playe. He hits like a Linebacker, al la Harrison or Lynch, and he has the speed to cover Receivers and Tight Ends. How can you agrue with a player thats 6'3" and 225 lbs and runs the 40 in 4.45 sec

The only arguement to that is if we can trade down and get a different future superstar for our D- Line and then address opther issues with the extra picks. I think we may end up getting the 21st and 32nd pick plus a 4th or 5th rounder from the Patriots for Our first pick and Trung. Its been rumored heavinly the Patriots want to move up and they also like Candidate.
