Carlos Rogers plus Campbell equals better cornerback?

Post by gay4pacman »

So I am a big fan of SEC football and believe that it is by far the best conference in all of college football. (South Carolina Gamecock alumni)

That aside, after watching the last game I feel that with the addition of Jason Campbell into the starting qb role, he has given carlos a boost on the defensive side. I know that nothing has been said about this connection, but they are truly good freinds and I believe that with the injection of jason, a shot has been fired into carlos.

We will see over the next few weeks, but i really feel that this could be the start of a new mentality for carlos and possibly the making of a shut down corner for the Redskins.

thoughts?

Yeah, that sure was a poor choice for a screen name......

...Oh, you meant about Carlos Rogers.

Well, Anything is possible and the mental aspect of a player is huge. If he thinks that he has something to fight for he's going to play harder. I think that there are probably bigger motivating factors however.

Could be but I think the result yesterday was more from Gibbs tirade earlier in the week.

And, yeah, what's up with the screen name?

Or the fact that he wasn't playing 12 yards off the LOS, and that he said that he needs to trust his speed more.

Joined right around draft time last year, The Skins were looking for a top corner at the time, Man I hope that's what's up with that name :?

Carlos needs to be more physical in the first 5 yards, (bump and run) not give 10 yard cushions no matter the down and distance. He also needs to learn to run with the receiver while looking back for the ball. He did a much better job of that this week.

Just giving you a hardtime. If I remember correctly I gave you a hard time back in March '05 when you were trumpeting that name. My thought was......thats sure going to be an outdated screenname. I wonder if he will change it or keep it. Thats it....nothing more...

Yeah, and plus he could be our teams best player at slapping women and getting in bar fights.

And the only reason I think people give you a hard time about you screen name is because, you know... "gay"4pacman... I don't know but, that's kind of, well, gay

How about changing the game with his punt returns and interceptions? Like the redskins dont have trouble with delinquent player...(cough) Sean Taylor (couhgh)

He might not have been the best person in that draft but he was the best cornerback.

Carlos is turning over a new leaf with his coverage skills. We all know he can play the run he just needs to start covering better. Maybe Jason gave him a boost because thery are such good buddies.

No, cause those names just sound downright fruity. My 2 cents
