Anybody wait in line to get one, I heard a story that Auburn RB Kenny Irons was spotted waiting in line all night Thursday in Georgia for his PS3.

Sounds like a profitable business, though. I checked e-bay yesterday when some auctions were ending, and one PS3 sold for $14,000. If I pulled that off and netted 10-12k I wouldn't have to work for a few months and I'd still come out about even. . .

I think most people who want a PS3 right now just want to make money with it. I think consoles are a waste of money for the most part. They are already dated when they come out and for 14,000, I can build a computer that will blow away a PS3 and still have money left over.

A local kid got robbed at gunpoint for his PS3 after waiting in line. Nice.

Who in the hell would pay $14K for one of these things? Unbelievable!

Here in New York state, a guy who was first in line at the local Wal-Mart for one of the advertised six PS3's was paid 5 G's to give up his place in line. He took the money and bought the new nintendo. :)
Amazing. Every year, it seems...there's a rush on something that my own kids could live without.
Remember the Cabbage Patch Kids thing? That was the first major onsluaght I ever noticed for a new toy product.

I camped out and got one, and the other day I was at a Walmart and saw not one but TWO in the dispay case!!! I was not even looking to buy one I just was browsing.

So I bought one and had my wife buy the other, because the lady at walmart would not get both.

One is going to my brother for Christmas, and the other was sold for 2100 on Ebay.

The game I got was cool, but the blueRay player (it comes with Talledaga Nights) was really awsome looking!!

I think the Wii will be dominating in a few months. No matter how amazing the graphics are on the PS3, you can't compete with the Wii's controls, they are awseome. It's also a lot cheaper.

I got one for Christmas, even though my wife doesn't know I know.

Walmart called to tell her it was in and left that message on the answering machine.

Well you know I erased it.

30 years old, and I still have a Christmas list.

I can't wait to play the new Zelda! But what I am really looking forward to is to download the old 8bit games!!!

If you erased the message from Walmart, how will your wife know it's at the store??? With PS3 in such high demand, they probably only hold it for a day or so, then *poof* on to the next hopeful. So, maybe you don't get one for xmas!

B. Lloyd's wife went down at 700am and bought the ticket from the first guy in line. ;-)

I don't know how much she paid, but he's got plenty.

Wii

I have the PS3 it was the Wii, and the message was from Gamestop not Walmart ( my error)

But the message said they were going to call her alternate phone (cell) and leave a message.

She paid for it, so I know she will get it.
