Suicide affects Eagles' family

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Suicide affects Eagles' family

Post by REDEEMEDSKIN »

First the bad news about McNabb's knee, and now some really bad news about a former Eagle:

Former Eagles DB Andre Waters, 44, commits suicide

TAMPA, Fla. -- Andre Waters, a defensive back who spent most of his 12 seasons in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles, was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound early Monday. He was 44.

Wow that is a shame. Not many people liked playing against him because of his "Dirty" tactics but this is a sad way to go.

Not a good past couple of days for the Eagles organization.

I met Andre "Dirty" Waters a year ago at the old timers flag football game. He came off as a real nice guy. Its sad to hear about anyone die especially that of a suicide.

It's a shame he is dead, but man, I hated that guy when he played for the Eagles.

I hated the guy too but you hate to see someone go like this. By the way, he is the third guy from the Buddy Ryan teams to die young - Jerome Brown, Reggie White and now Andre Waters.

For all the greif that the Eagles Fans gave TO during his "issue" finding remorse for them is pretty hard to do about all of this. That organization can burn in hades for all I care.

For the Waters family though, I hope they can find peace in all of this and look past the multitude of poorly placed jokes that can be mentioned due to the timing of this, being right after the iggles were thrown into oblivion.

Philly isn't a happy place to be these days, I'm sure.

To be clear, the Eagles Nation as a whole was very concerned about T.O. when everyone thought he tried to kill himself. After it came out that he was not, then it was no holds barred.
