Anyone else?
Since the Skins are among the weaklings of the NFL again this year, which makes my stomach turn, this ruins football for me. I dont watch many of the other games because the Skins stink so bad.
Anyone else?
I never miss a Skins game but now, its just sickening to watch - maybe if the fans are thrown a bone, like a QB change for next week, it would at least make it a little more exciting. It's so hard to watch a team you have so much passion for get bitch slapped like that....
Anyone else think Gibbs looks like he is done? He looks totally bewildered on the sidelines and last week against Dallas, when he couldnt even watch the FG - wow, thats distressing.

Just beat Dallas - they are A-H****
As a fan, I still watch no matter how painful it is. I won't stop watching. But we are very bad and it appears that our beloved coach is lost on the sidelines.
I may be critical of this team but I am still a fan and will continue to support them and watch them.

Now I'm just gonna watch:
(a) hoping we see Jason Campbell put in and if/when he is put in, see how he does; and
(b) hoping we try to ruin some other teams (e.g., the Giants or Eagles) playoff chances.

I don't think that Gibbs is done.....but I do think that he has made some bad decisions.
Remember that we have the same record as the Superbowl Champs from last year. And that Gibbs took us to the Playoffs last year. Look, this is the NFL and its a hard game in a hard league. We have had a lot of bad luck, and had made too many changes. Should the Steelers organization get rid of Cowher? He's was 5-11 in 2003 and look how horrbiel they are now. Has he lost it....or could it be that they had had bad luck?

No. If you are this easily discouraged, sports are going to kill you man. Give up now.

Rumor is that Cowher will hang it up after this year, so he's probably just going through the motions right now. At least it sure looks that way. But in his defense, Cowher still has a ~.600 win percentage as the head coach of that team, whereas Gibbs 2.0 isn't even over .500 since the comeback, and he's on pace for his worst season ever (again), to tie his 2004 record. At some point, even Joe Gibbs has to be accountable. I think firing him at the end of this year is not a good idea, but he shouldn't get a free lifetime pass either.

in retrospect bringin in Saunders to revamp that offense when the team was making the playoffs was a mistake. Or perhaps allowing the offense to be revamped to the degree that it has been was a mistake. The same offensive system that we had last year with Lloyd and ARE would have been awesome.
Gibbs definetly has to be held accountable, but there is something to be said for consistency and giving someone a chance. This Al Saunders thing is going to take a while to gel so I think that you have to hold off and see what the team looks like after Gibbs' initial five year contract is up. If '07 and '08 are more of the same then, yes I would agree that he is washed up. But I'm reserving judgement until then.
Organizations have to take a long term approach.....fans don't! So, far Gibbs is 6-10 and 10-6......Thats OK. Until this season is over I don't think that you can judge him on it......its certainly not looking good.
I'll suffer a few set backs if it makes the team better in the long run. So, OK bring Saunders in. But the constant trading of Picks and giving away the house to FA's is killing me. Our personell decisions under Gibbs are better than they were under Norv or Spurrier, but the plan is flawed I think. Ryan Clark, Antonio Pierce, and a few more draftee's and this team would be deep and we wouldn't be having the issues on Defense that we have now.

I disagree. The offense is a proven one. The problem was bringing in Saunders and his offense and handcuffing him with Brunell. Why bring in a new offense that requires a qb that has a strong arm and then play Brunell?? It's a mismatch of personnel, not the actual offensive system that is the problem.

I agree with most of that, but I think this 'revamp of the offense' excuse is being overused. This is football, not nuclear physics, and these guys have been doing this stuff their entire adult lives, especially veterans like Brunell. The Saints are working with both a new playbook from a new coach, and a new QB, and they seem to have picked it up quickly enough. Brunell flat-out lacks the skill set needed on a consistent basis, and no amount of study time is going to change that.

I think that's true. It's come to that. Maybe Williams too. The personnel decisions that been so wrong that it's hard to think they were caused by anything other than hubris. Holdman over LaVar? Arch over Clark?
Brunnel over Ramsey and Campbell, even when Brunnel's hurt? Trading Ramsey so that he won't make Brunell look bad again? Keeping Campbell on the bench so he won't make Brunell look bad.
Williams so arrogant he thinks he can just plug anybody in and his system will save the day!
Gibbs so dead set on proving that Brunell is the right guy that he's basically thrown away this season, the same way he threw away this season, the same way he threw away the playoffs last season.

FYI - I have been a fan for 30+ years and have missed only a handful of games, so I will not stop watching.
I was wondering if anyone stops watching other football games, like last nights game was supposedly pretty wild, but I just couldnt stomach watching more football that day.

Point blank Gibbs has failed, yes we made the playoffs but what genious replaces the whole engine when it's the driver that needs replacing? I mean BOOBNELL couldn't throw it in Gibbs prehistoric offense and why would he still be the starting QB when it's glaring that he simply doesn't have it anymore? Al Saunders coming here was a MISTAKE, keeping BOOBNELL was a mistake and allowing Ryan Clark, Smoot, Pierce, Arrington to leave were all MISTAKES! Can't you see this team and franchise is snake bit and until we get a young QB that has the ability to make the throws this offense calls for and until we address the defense and get rid of those pompous self rightous twits like Dale Lindsey and Greg Williams we all better look at the second half of last season because this team won't sniff playoffs until these old geezers are all replaced.

I certainly don't want to ruin the Giants and Eagles chances if that means opening the door up for the Cowpukes to get in.

I have been a Redskin fan for over 30 years. I will continue to watch, no matter how bad the product is; I just can't help it. Gibbs brought in Saunders because he is too old and tired to commit the time he feels is needed to run the offense and be the head coach. He said so himself. Brunell needs to sit. He is a deer in headlights out there. Artichoke should return some of that money he stole from Snyder. We lost key players to free agency over the last 3 years. The bottom line is that Gibbs is ultimately responsible for making these free agent decisions (at least that's what everyone in the organization is saying). Just because he can coach doesn't mean he can assemble a team. Unfortunatley, Gibbs is proving this to us. Anyway, I watched the 4:00 games (via Sunday Ticket) because it is a relief to watch teams play when I am not so emotionally invested in the outcome. It actually quells my anger and helps me to forget about how miserable the Skins are.
