Randle El...

Post by Esquirekj »

Greetings everyone, it has been a while since my last post.

I am wondering why we do not use Randle El on kickoff return. I know Rock ran one back against Dallas but he doesn't scare anyone. When he was in Pitt, Randle El was a dynamic kick returner and punt returner. He is a threat to take every punt to the house and I think he would be equally as dangerous on kickoffs.
There is no tomorrow, we should put all of our best weapons (especially our #3 receiver) out there whenever possible. Every game is a playoff game!

In my opinion, most teams use a guy who isn't such a major part of the offense on kickoff return. When Randle El was introduced, he mentioned that he loved Punt Return, but was not all that gung-ho about Kickoff returns.

Rock is also a great Kickoff returner..so its not so bad.

Also, I think we would be asking Randel El to spread himself too thin. He is already practicing with the offense and punt return team. Kickoffs are more physical than punts returns in that nobody calls for a fair catch on kickoffs and they get hit on every play. Rock needs to earn his money too.

Not to mention, Randle-El asked to be used strictly on punt returns, and the team seems to be accommodating that request. Besides, Rock is doing an excellent job.

I agree with what's been said. Rock is doing very well, KR's are a different skill than PR's, and Randel El made it pretty clear that he didn't want to be used in KR situations.

I would like it if the Skins only got to return one kick off per game!

I agree, even if he gets broken he only touches the ball twice a game on offense anyway at this point so it wouldnt be a big loss.
HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!!!
