Heath Shuler

Post by cleg »

Did I miss this or is it new? Heath Shuler is running for Congress in North Carolina as a Conservative Democrat - or a Dixicrat. Well, as a Democrat and native Southerner (being born in DC is the south, right?) I am outraged that this waste of a talent should run for Congress. Check out

(Actually, I hope he wins)

As a kid, I actually liked Heath Shuler... because Skins fans were so excited about him.

He seems like a decent guy, and I wish him the best in his run for congress. Moderate Democrat, doesn't vote strictly on party lines, successful businessman...

I'd vote for him, if I had a say.

Heath Shuler isn't just running for congress. He's most likely going to win!

Very true riggofan. He's got an excellent shot. It helps that he's running as a conservative Democrat.

If this happens, it would be ironic that he returns to Washingon a winner

Good for him. Last thing I wanted was to hear him rehash that speech he made when he heard the catcalls raining down on him at home games. He said something along the lines of, "If people knew more about me and my values, they wouldn't boo me."

But didn't we change the locks to the city when he left? ;)

Seems he understands the Constitution better than an NFL playbook.

Good for him.

If I was campaigning against him I would have been like he couldn't learn the Redskins playbook during his stint with the Redskins, do u expect him to learn the executive, judicial, and legislative system with less time think before u vote.
