  I'm sure we'll bring him back. Plus, they just signed Sam Gash, so there is no need for him in New Orleans.

We should just trade him straight up for a draft pick insteada letting him walk for free. If we could get another 5th or 6th rounder we should do it. Cartwright is ready to take over at FB.

I love BJ, but I would be all for getting a pic if that were an option, and entering next season with Rock as the starter, and Mike Sellers as a backup. He has had his fair share of problems  , but who hasn't :?:

I say trade him for a pick and start the Rock! Cartwright is gonna blossum under Gibbs.
I have travelled the net and found the Redskins promise land. This is, by far, the best site out there for Redskins/NFL News, Notes, Opinions, and so much more.

Johnson doesn't warrant compensation. He was an undrafted FA out of college

I don't think we can go into the season with just Cartwright at fullback. I know he had an impressive season playing halfback, and I know a lot of people here think he will be a great fullback, but I really believe we need our two year starter in the fold, just in case Rock doesn't work out...

Personally, I think BJ is a good player. But Rock needs to get in there, I'm telling you now, that when he gets in the game, he'll tear up. Go rock! Good topic by the way!

I think the Redskins, if possible, really need to resign Johnson. He's a good blocker and excellent special teams player. I'd say last year he and Patrick Johnson, whom we just lost to the Bengals, where #1 & 2 on special teams. I don't like the fact that if we don't match the offer, we've lost two of our best special teamers. Last year it seemed every tackle was made by one of them on punt or kickoff. I also have heard the Redskins were planning on using him as the H-Back. Because Joe Gibbs doesn't use a lot of the true FB, I think Rock would not be as good as our H-Back because he's not as big of a target.

Not only that, but Johnson is a better all around fullback than Cartwright.

I think bringing back Bryon Johnson is a must He can block and catch and would be a good H-back. If the Skin's don't match the offer and get no compensation for Him it would be terrible.

how come people put all their hopes in Rock anyway? Rock had a couple good games last season... but he's just not big enough. 5'7'' 223

I find it very funny that you said this, and you have a Darrell Green avatar next to your name. Green often refers to people saying he was "small" as his motivation. Every speech he gives he brings up his size and how people doubted him.

Anyway, Johnson is good, Rock is good, Sellers is dependable.
All these guys are undrafted or low, low round draft picks. Gibbs will bring in many unsigned free agents this summer.
In regards to Johnson, the Skins will do what is best for the team. The details of the Saints contract are insane, the total opposite of Snyders contract structuring.

If the Skins decide to match and keep Johnson then Larry Moore will be gone by Thursday.
