I don't understand that. It seems just like the play that took Ramsey out last year but that player wasn't fined.

Seems like a bargain for a shot at manning. I imagine a few will chip in to help cover the "fee". Heck...I'd chip in to help if it was his little brother.

Funny. I wonder how that worked out? What they call a bad hit, I call "finishing the tackle".

Not for nothing, but did Antonio Pierce get fined for that out of bounds hit a couple weeks back where he admitted to it, and said "I had already committed my body to the hit" ?

If I was a coach/owner I'd glady pay those fines for the player or reimburse them. The QB's in this league or over protected and it pains me to watch defenses let them run freely. QB's know that they wont get hit and they get extra yards because of it.

I don't think that's allowed. If it were, it would most likely encourage bounties on players, and we all know that type of stuff just doesn't happen in our no-fun, sterile NFL.

No, the Ramsey hit was much worse. Briggs hit Ramsey in the throat and tried to rip his head off. The only reason the Daniels hit slid up off of the chest and got to Manning's neck was because someone else had Manning's legs. If not, Manning just goes down from a clean blow to the chest. The reason the NFL said the Briggs wasn't fine was because the first contact started at the chest (which was totally not true), so why isn't that an excuse for Daniels?

Just proof that the league, just like the NBA, has different rules for Superstars! Shame on the NFL!

Anyone have fat Lenny's email address? Because this is simply not true.

Daniels hit him near the head on an incomplete pass intended for tailback Joseph Addai.

He did not hit him in the "head" he hit him in the chest and is arm eventually slip up to his heck and his head, but the hit was on Mannings chest.

I don't think their biased, they just suck. They gave one of the Bengals players a Roughing the Passer penalty on a friggin sack. How can you rough the passer on a sack??

Ohh sorry, I tackled you too hard and one of your QB high heels popped off....flag on the play.

There should be a new rule, you must have played in the NFL to qualify to be a ref.....they should be made full time employees, and you cannot ref a game involving any former team.

I'm sorry, but the Bingo crowd who has never done so much as played Pee Wee doesn't deserve to be out there.

I did and he hit him in the throat! I was at that game and the play happened right in front me.

The league says they are going to protect quarterbacks, but there is no question some are more protected than others. It's as if the officials are in awe or just blessed to be in the presence of a Manning. I am sick of the whole Manning family. If that hit was on a guy like, Seneca Wallace or Damon Huard, or Jason Campbell there would not have been a fine. I'll bet the league sends Archie a letter of apology!

ROTFALMAO "Bingo Crowd" ROTFALMAO

I have to agree with you with just about everything.........but I don't think anyone can convince me that the officials are not biased. Remember that game we had against the Eagles at the linc two years ago? The eagles were getting their butts kicked hard all game and they really needed a first down so they could continue to drive and score.........we stopped them a FULL YARD shy of the first down and the referees spotted the ball a full yard off the mark. Thank God they missed it by one inch and we stopped them. When things like that happen I can't help but think that the refs are biased.
