Ask B.Lloyd A Question
Thanks JanseFan and BossHog for making this podcast possible. Great interview.
I tried to type-in a question in the form but I could not submit it. I am going to open this thread so that everybody has a chance to see what questions are being considered by others and perhaps help avoid repetition.
My question to B. Lloyd:
Thank you very much for talking to us and answering our questions. Joe Gibbs had true legendary receivers during his first tenure. Names like Art Monk, Gary Clark, Ricky Sanders, among others, are inscribed in golden letters in Redskins lore and history. In your view, What will it take for the current group of highly talented receivers to match the results and production obtained by their former peers?
I invite other posters to share their questions here notwithstanding the fact that we will have to type them in the right place to submit them to the staff.

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to Nov. 1st when we can submit our questions, but here's one I'll post now so I don't forget.
Brandon,
What is your feeling on other players/rappers... such as Darnerian McCants
. But seriously, have you heard his stuff and how do you like it?

Well actually, that's why it says under the form (Starting November 1st) because that's when I'll open the form up and take questions.
You guys are welcome to post whatever you like here but my questions will all be selected from the ones that I receive from the form... not from this thread.
That'd be why I didn't just start a questions thread.

Welch is not the only one keeping the job thing going while trying to stay focused here. Me bad.BossHog wrote:Well actually, that's why it says under the form (Starting November 1st) because that's when I'll open the form up and take questions.

I thought it might be useful to start a survey of questions just to set the tone. But we understand very clearly the the form is the official submission.BossHog wrote:You guys are welcome to post whatever you like here but my questions will all be selected from the ones that I receive from the form... not from this thread.
You had to rub it in, didn't ya?BossHog wrote:That'd be why I didn't just start a questions thread.

OK, OK, I am not anywhere nearly as good looking a fellow as JansenFan but my wife thinks that I am not a throw away either.

Make sure you check out the show when it's posted, because I asked about JC's progress and he gave a great answer about all of the QB's on the roster.

B. Lloyd is as real as it gets. He didn't just spout the company line, he broke down why he and his teammates feel that way.
If the players back Brunell and the coaches back Brunell, what makes us think we know better than the two groups of people that practice and evaluate both players on a daily basis. Do I personally back Brunell? It's irrelevant, because the team does, and their collective opinion is what matters.

Did you honestly think any player on this team would say anything else? I respect the players for supporting each other (I don't support players calling each other out in the media - that's a TO tactic), but I don't put much real stock in what they say, either.

His comments about fans booing were pretty good also.

See a time attached anywhere?
It's still November 1 and now there's magically a working form. And now you've gone and made all of these people needlessly post their questions here. You should probably apologize to them.

B.Lloyd gave a pretty good response on every question asked, IMO. For those who didn't hear it, here's his answer to a question about boos at FedEx:
"If fans are really there for our success and are really there supporting us, that wouldn't happen. And if fans understood what that does for the morale of the other team, you wouldn't do it. Because [the other team] wants to go into the other stadium, and [they] want to play well enough that [the other team's] own fans turn on them. That's something that people say about New York, that's something people say about other cities, that's not something that I've heard about Washington DC. That's something that I've never heard about Redskin fans, and to hear that is a little discouraging. . . .especially when our fans are booing, and we're sticking to it--we're not checking it in, we're not giving it up--and our fans are booing. Then we make a big play and they want to cheer, you know, and what kind of sea-saw, rollercoaster group of people are we? To be in a game, and we're giving it our all, we're not checking it in, we want to win. . .it's not fun. It's not fun at all, and we don't appreciate it."
So maybe this won't change much in people's minds, but I personally think it should affect the behavior of fans at FedEx.

Heard that. It was a good answer. Whenever I'm actually at a game (very, very rare), I'll try to be a good fan!

But you could also say, who better to put all the booing to rest (by winning) than one of the players.
Not that I blame B. Lloyd - he's caught most of the balls coming his way, but he can't control how many passes he gets.

I would apologise to all others if needed but everybody knows from previous posts that this is not a place to submit their questions. There is a form to do so HERE
