I don't see Cambell starting until later in the season, if at all. I think that Gibbs will stick with Brunell as long as he is health. He did it before. Why would he change now? In Gibbs eyes, a 75% Brunell is better than a 100% 2nd year player.
Stubborn as Gibbs is, he knows how important fan support is to the team. He knows that if the team gets booed off the field at home he will need to make a change. The truth is that the fans have a big say in this.
Last year's decision to bench Ramsey in game 1 did not go over well with fans, but Gibbs got away with it because it was early in season and Brunell showed he could be competitive.
This year the team is not competitive. The decision to stick with Brunell is not popular. If the team does not win with Brunell, the fans will revolt. And if the fans revolt, we will see Campbell.
If Brunell starts against the Cowboys and the Redskins lose the game, Campbell will start the following week. Guaranteed.

Find out who sold Ben Rothlesburger his!
While I do believe that the time arrived long ago to give JC a chance, I don't think anyone should be wishingfor any player to get injured.
Well Brunell has injured this whole team by his sorry excuse for play. He simply isn't a starter anymore and the sooner Gibbs and Boonell realize this the better off the whole team will be.
ESPN: Whispers from around the NFL - Pro Football Weekly
Although the Redskins said they gave backup QB Jason Campbell two days' worth of snaps with the first team because of Mark Brunell's sore ribs, we hear Campbell could be named the starter if the Redskins don't win both of their next two games, against the Cowboys and Eagles.
