I really want to have Taylor or Winslow as our Pick, but there are severeal palyers in this draft that will contribute highly right off the bat. This might be the best first 2 rounds we've seen in quite a while and there is depth at several positons we lack in, IMO.
Also we made the deal with New England , we might pair up one of there first rounders, a player, and the extra pick from them or a future pick to get back into the top ten. That would have us with a top ten pick ( maybe houston's 10th overall) plus either the 21st or 32nd pick and our 5th rounder we already have. I think this trade will get more press soon.

Do we go for the best player available or draft to fill a need? I want the best player and that is Taylor. By the end of the mini-camps Joe and his staff will be able to evaluate our DL and if necessary, get a pass rushing DE from the June 1st cuts...
I'm just stirrin' the pot and living in the '70s.
i would really like to keep the 5th pick and get tayor..BUT...knowing joe gibbs like i do..*Cough Cough*..
he will trade down and get the most for that 5th pick..so i think taylor will be great in the nfl i dont think it will be with the skins..

This seems like an ok trade, but why would the Pats give up two first rounders (even late ones) for Trung??
Have you really heard this somewhere or is it just total speculation?

The Patriots 1st rounders are too far back in the draft. Their 32nd is basically a 2nd rounder. If we trade down, which I hope we don't, we should trade down no more than 7 spots. If we trade to the Patriots, most of the d-linemen, such as Udeze will probably be gone. Draft Sean Taylor. If we don't get Taylor, we should probably trade down with the Texans.

That 32nd pick also got us Ramsey, there are such things as daimonds in the rough or should I say good picks at the end of the 1st round. Besides I said that we would probably trade down one of the picks again.

THey would do it to probably get Taylor I would imagine. He would replace Law.....several teams things he would make a great corner. As for Trung it is legit, they want to replace Antwan Smith and they like Trung. I read the link on BenMaller I believe I'll try to find the link. It wasn't long ago that I read it so it shouldn't be hard to find.

Sometimes you have to give a little to get a little. Sure, we would make the Pats that much better, but in the long run it could be us that gets the better part of the deal. I'm sure Coach and the staff will completely think it through before they trade anything or anyone.

Most likely from what I have heard, the Pats IF they took this trade (not likely IMO, but you never know) they would be looking at RB - maybe Jones from Tech who is a difference maker himself.

Jones and I believe Jackson are both highly looked at by New England. They would be taking Trung for insurance or still might even go after Taylor and either keep him or trade him. The Pats always seem to have something up there sleeves in the draft. I wouldn't rule out anything at this point if we traded wuth them.

Portis was well worth the 2nd pick throw in.

Trade which one down? Trade the 21st overall down to 25th or later? So we basically give up a 5th overall for two picks that are almost 2nd rounders. That would be retarded.skin_to_the_bone wrote:Brandon777 wrote:The Patriots 1st rounders are too far back in the draft. Their 32nd is basically a 2nd rounder. I don't want to give a little to the Patriots. I don't want to give these clam chowder eaters nothing. I also think we won't get the better part of the deal in the long run. I can see possibly tradeing down with the Texans, but screw this Patriot trade. Plus throwing in Trung. No thanks. Why should we do a deal with an organization that accusses us of tampering?skin_to_the_bone wrote:Brandon777 wrote:I'm sick of the Patriots.
