1st round pick -duckett trade

Post by MEZZSKIN »

to my knowledge the only way we swap first round picks with denver is if we both pick in the 20's(thats was the stipulation)
Theres been misconception about us swapping picks . Its safe to say we will be well ahead 20 in the draft . So its ours.

This is true, that trade was made based on an exchange of points according to the value chart they use for draft picks. If there is a big difference in value between the two first round picks they will stay with their teams and the difference will be made up through lower round pick exchanges.

TJ Duckett was traded for a 3rd round pick NOT a 1st round pick.

Yep, I posted the breakdown a week ago or so, here

Yet somehow it managed to transform no offers into a deal that looks like it will involve Washington's third-round pick in 2007 and the Redskins' fourth-round pick in 2008. Those are the most likely terms of the deal, but the exact terms will not be determined until after this season.

Depending on how each team fares this season, the two teams also could wind up swapping first-round picks, but only if Washington is scheduled to pick between No. 21 and No. 31 and Denver's first-round draft position is even higher. Unlikely, though not impossible.
