Sundays Game

Post by redskingush »

I don't know about the rest of you but I feeling a classic gibbs victory here. Everytime in the past few years, just as we are thinking were doomed he and the team come up with a game where it makes everbody notice. Indianapolis is the perfect slot for that to happen. We own the AFC South this year. lets go 3-0, beat the colts.

Taking a positive view here, Indy isn't quite the juggernaut they've been in the past. Sure, they're 5-0, and that's nothing to scoff at, but the only team they've truly dominated is Houston (sound familiar?) - all the rest of thier wins were by a TD or less. Plus, as already noted by others, their run defense is weak (at least it was before they added McFarland). If we can run on them effectively, chewing up the clock and keeping our defense rested, we can win this game.

I expect a shootout kinda like the Jags game. I hope we leave everything out on the field this week.

I think a shoot-out is the last thing we want vs. Indy - that's their type of game. We want to keep it on the ground and chew up the clock. Time of possession will be crucial in this game.

If we can pass block, Indys 2ndary is suspect/overrated.

The Giants' secondary was also suspect (29th?), but did we go after that one?

I'd rather rely on Portis than Brunell. Would be nice to see Duckett too. Get something for that lost draft pick.

SI's Peter King picked Indy, 40-10. Ouch! I hope someone at Redskins Park tells the troops, and they get plenty mad!

I think Sellers is going to beat up any player on our roster who isn't giving everything they've got.

Did I miss something or did we not lose to the Titans?

Yes, the Redskins suck this year (again, thanks Mark!), but I too, have a funny feeling about this game. Maybe Gibbs will realize how valuble Portis is and run him down their throat to victory. I don't care how suspect their pass defense is, we have Brunell pretending to be a starting QB. Let's just run the ball and take home a win!

That's an interesting choice of words, Champsturf. Let's hope the old man gets a clue. . .

We seem to be on a pattern this year. Lose 2, win 2, lose 2, etc.. If that holds true, we are due a win today. But in all seriousness, I would imagine that last weeks practice instilled in our team what "Gibbs and Redskin Football" is all about. I would be very surprised if we were anything but an efficient, well-oiled machine today. We have the talent on both sides of the ball, now it's time to stop being paper champs and become field champs. Go skins!!

i had a dream last night. i didnt remeber it until i booted up my cpu. Brandon lloyd was a catching machine. he turned it on. all over the field. draggin his toes, stayin in bounds, dives, going across the middle, TDs down the middle, screens, all sorts of crazyness...

can you say break out game?
