Pro Bowl Voting

Post by Justice Hog »

Pro Bowl Voting has apparently begun. You can apparently make your selections here.

My question to all of you:

Do you think there are any Skins players that actually deserve a vote thus far this year?

Discuss.

Honestly, maybe Rabach and Thomas?

It may be a stretch but I haven't watched them closely.

NO. I thought STaylor would, but the way our D is playing, I would be surprised if any Redskins make it there. (this is based on how we've played thus far and how we will play if Brunell is there)

At least one of the cheerleaders will make it! Right?

Apparently nobody on our Oline should even be considered. Brunell NEVER has enough time, according to some.

I would honestly say nobody on the Skins deserves to go. Maybe Moss, maybe Portis, but that would be about it. Even those two would be stretching it.

ABSOLUTELY NOBODY ON DEFENSE though. Taylor has played well, but not well enough, IMO. None of the LB's, none of the DL, and of course, NO DB's, especially our corners.

No one right now.

The offensive linemen are probably closest out of anyone, and Moss has had a couple of good games. Portis would be a distant consideration as well.

But, realistically, no one deserves it at this point except for an outside shot at being an alternate.

Actually, I have one more, Ethan Albright. The guy doesn't get the recognition he deserves and still hasn't messed up a snap.

Santana maybe?

Sean Taylor has been good but he won't even get considered.

Based on the retardedness of the voting...Clinton will probably go this year because he's scoring alot. Even though he's on a record setting pace for yardage....and deserved to go last year...people apparently only look at the TD ranks when voting...right now CP is 4th in the NFL with 6 of them.

ummm hello??? The only one worthy is Sellers right now. He's the only one that is always fired up and ready to play. He has punked too many LB's to count this year. Other than maybe Clinton, NO ONE else deserves to even be mentioned.
May #21 never be worn again by another Redskin but may every Redskin play like they are wearing #21 on their backs.

I think Portis deserves to go. He leads all NFC running backs in rushing td's.

Marcus was raised and dropped earlier in the thread, but I still think he's having a very good year. Maybe not as a pro-bowl starter on the team. He's just been all over the place making plays.

Moss is an interesting one because he's been so good on relatively few balls. It raises an interesting question when your quarterback is as bad as Brunell but you get enough to show what you can do.

Portis may be a potential when he's been back longer.

I can't think of anyone else I could go to a non-Skins fan with and expect to be taken seriously though.

Has anybody noticed that Archuleta and Taylor lead the NFC in tackles from their respective spots - SS and FS. Not exactly the stats you want from your Safties, those should belong to our LB's. IMO, no matter who deserves to go and who will go, we should all vote for our guys to make it.

Im voting for:
Portis
Sellers
Cooley
Moss
Taylor

I agree with you, but it also happens to be one of the reasons that I don't like fan-based pro-bowl voting. It's a great way to find out which team has the biggest bandwagon at the time but it doesn't represent who the best players are quite as well. :)

Oh well, until then--vote Redskins! (Except I don't vote. . .)

these are good players but which one is having a probowl season? none.

maybe if saundrs starts running the ball and portis dosnt have another 50 yard game he might make it.

His yards might not be there but he does lead the NFC in rushing td's with 6.

Well while Portis leads the NFC in TD in rushing he is like 12th in yardage, so ill give you that. What more do you need out of Sellers? Can you name two better fullbacks in the NFC for me. I'll say that Cooley doesn't have the best numbers and was more deserving last year. As for Moss and Taylor, sorry but those two deserve to be on the squad. Moss has put up numbers that dont lie, and Taylor leads all at his position in Tackles as well as passes defended.

Back to Moss.....

Year Team G GS Rec Yds Avg Lg TD 20+ 40+ 1st
2006 Washington Redskins 6 6 25 415 16.6 68 3 7 2 16

Year Team G GS Att Yds Avg Lg TD 20+ 1st
2006 Washington Redskins 6 6 7 82 11.7 35 0 2 3

Thats almost 500 combined yards, which is more than all but 2 recievers. Based on this alone, and if i had to chose one that was a true pro bowler on our team....it is Santana!

I think that Frost has been the one guy that you can depend on this past year. Also, Mike Sellers is a dependable guy. Come to find out, Kherry Campbell was responsible for the blocked punt.

It's sad, but the only one that I can see that actually deserves to go is Rock Cartwright as a kick returner. Didn't Koren Robinson go last year as a kick returner? Maybe Mike Sellers, but he's not well known enough to garner any votes.
Sit back and watch the Redskins.
