I can't imagine what you guys are going through right now.

I am pretty ticked off right now. BUT you know how you guys choke every year in the playoffs? I don't think it is as painful as that.
Bruce has the authority. When Bruce makes the decision, it's a Redskins decision.

This is what happens when you think playcalling is more important then talent . Letting go of lavar was the worst move ever. I knew it! We really got to get a beast somehow back at the opposite backer side of Washington.
Sean Taylor starting free safety Heavens team!

Until then tell him Tom Bradys says hey Peyton dont Worry Im taking good care of those Super Bowl rings. Also that playoff game in Indy against the Pittsburg Steelers. Heck the refs almost stole that game from the Steelers the interception that Troy made was clearly an interception and then they reversed it hummm.... Colts stink Manning stinks...

The Dolts are not the team they were last season. Their Defense is ranked right above ours and they give up alot of yards on the ground. But, Peyton has thrown for over 1200 yards and 8 TD's. If we had a halfway decent secondary, I wouldn't be so worried, but I am afraid that Peyton will be picking apart our secondary at will. Can we beat Indy? Yes, I know we can beat any team in this league, but we need the Redskins that beat the Texans and the Jags to show up.

roybus14 wrote:I am not going to hold out hope that this team will beat the Colts because of how inconsistent they are so here goes:

1. It's time to make changes starting with the QB. I heard Joe Gibbs praise a rookie QB that many thought was not smart enough to play QB in the NFL. The person that asked Gibbs about Young should have followed up Gibbs' response with another question as to why he is not playing the 17 car that has similar skills as Young? A guy that he gave up so much for and loves so much. Alot of teams around this league are using their "young" QB's in certain situations and even starting them without horrible results.

2. When are "we" going to start playing football. Gibbs plays that same "we" record every week after a loss and it's getting old. Apparently, "we" doesn't have to respect nor balls to go out there and play better for a HOF Coach that puts his butt out front every week for them.

3. Is John Riggins the only former player or media member to openly question whether or not the game has passed Joe Gibbs bye? 15 or more years is a long time for a HC to be away from the game and then come back and be successful. If the league, according to a quote from Gibbs himself, improves 30% every year, then he is saying that the league is 450% better than it was when he last coached. Plus factor in free-agency, the "me" and "gettin' paid" generation of players, he is bound to be out of touch. It's not his fault though that life goes on but he needs to not be so stubborn about Brunell and stop coddling these guys so much.

4. We lose to Indy next week, it's definitely time to make changes and stop the BS. Each week this organization shows just how inept it can be about personnel and how to use what they have. For instance: what was the actual purpose of giving up a 3rd round pick for Duckett? Sellers showed today that he can pound the ball running if we need it. Not too mention, he is a helluva blocker to boot.

5. How can a defense have this much of a drop off that it has had this year? Is it personnel, coaching or what???? This week and last week's performances shows that our defensive woes wasn't all Springs being out. If the "Animal Trainer" is as good as he thinks he is, then this defense should be able to withstand a few injuries and still be effective.

6. What happen to this team and organization being pro's at taking other team's reject and late round players and turning them into pro bowls and this team into a champion, like the glory days????

I agree with your statements. Two reasons I think our defense is sh*t this year: 1. Antonio Pierce, and 2. Ryan Clark. I agree with your assessment of Gibbs. I don't know what the deal is with him and Brunell. He has some kind of fixation with this guy, and I can't understand what he sees in him. The guy was past his prime before we signed him. We need to put in Campbell or Collins. I doubt they could be any worse and might even give this team the spark it desperatly needs. I am also very perplexed about some of the play calling in certain situations.

I am not so sure letting Lavar go was the worst move ever. I would think that letting Pierce walk and trading away Clark were worse moves. Also, trading draft picks for Duckett was a worse move.

The way this team, coaches and players have responded to Joe Gibbs in his second go around, should be a lesson to other legendary coaches that are considering taking time off from the NFL and then coming back.

This has an eerie similarity to what happened in some other legend's second go around down at the MCI Center. Except, Gibbs won't get run out by Snyder the way Pollin did that other legend.

It has got to be a curse or something here. Maybe it's the curse of the way they handled Bobby Mitchell in the 90's and now it's coming back around. Look at the personnel moves and pathetic play that has happened over the years.
