12th Man. The team needs you

Post by SkinFan 0-16 or 16-0 »

12th man I know I've never had to beg before. And every time I have started this thread you have responded.

But this week I will beg and plead for you to get loud. Without you getting loud we could put ourselves in a position that we don't need to be in.

We need this win just as bad as any win we have ever had.

(God Forbid) If we lose (knock on wood) we would be 2-4 coming off a loss of an winless team with an undefeated team on the road ahead and the bye week behind that.

Point blank if we don't win this we're not going anywhere.

That means each and every person has to do their jobs. Players, Coaches, and Fans.

We have a rookie QB coming up and with a confusing defense already coming at him, and the loudest crowd in the NFL (which I believe we are/can be) it would be overwhelming for him.

So I beg you please do your part. We can only have faith that the coaches and players will do theirs (which I think they will).

SO Scream stomp clap and do whatever you can do to make noise. If you can't scream anymore stomp and urge everybody around you to get loud.

Bottomline we need a win in the worst way. We can spare no expense.

Be Easy (better yet Be LOUD!!!!!!!)

They can boo all day this is pathetic.

Let Brunell and Gibbs know MEDIOCRITY and PATHETIC PLAY aren't accepted in the eyes of Redskin fans.

Gibbs won in the past, but this year is pathetic.

:hmm:

You never stop believing in your team and you never BOO them in these kinds of situations. 3rd and 4th quarter with only one score separating the teams and our fans in FedEx--collectively, not every individual--are not doing their part.

I guess some people are going to put their hatred of Brunell or Gibbs over their love of the team, and that's fine for them--I only wish they would give or sell their tickets to Skins fans who are going to support their team. My 2 cents

They should have been booing the defense. The offense didn't look great, but 22 points a game would have been good for 13 wins in 2005 and 14 wins in 2004. Mark Brunell didn't have anything to do with Travis Henry registering a career high in rushing yards.

This defense is just plain awful. If this team has any desire to win, it's going to have to do it like Cinncy, KC, and the Colts have in the past - make it a shoot-out, and may the best offense win. Right now, our offense, and our over-the-hill-and-never-coming-back QB aren't up to that challenge. Play The Kid. At least we can build for next year.

The fans have every right to boo. We spend a lot of money, time, and effort to go out to FedEx and this is the type of effort that we get from the team?? We get ripped off by Snyder all over the place and we should cheer the team when they stink up the place and can't even beat an 0-5 team with a rookie qb? Give me a break. They deserved to get booed.

Dude, if you spend all that money and secure a place at FedEx field, then sure. . .you have a right to boo.

Or read a newspaper during the game. Or never be at your seats (and help create a yellow band of shame). Or be silent when it's third and 2 for the opposing team. Or not wear Skins colors to the game. Or show up pretty late to the game. Or leave early, as soon as you think the Skins are probably out of it. Or sell your tickets to an opposing teams fan.

Sure. . .you have a right to do any of those things, as a fan. However, it doesn't make it right. . .and it doesn't give you a free pass to be a poor fan.

And, it certainly isn't protection from having an absurdity--such as fans boo-ing their own team when they are only down by a single score and there's an entire qurater to play--be pointed out.

There's a difference between being called out and being censored. I wouldn't ever say that fans have no right to do what they want during the game. . .but I have to speak out when I see such a shameful showing at FedEx field by the fans as we did today. Do you think ridiculous actions like that should go unnoted, as if the fans deserve lollipops and sunshine, and are free to throw a tantrum every time the team doesn't deliver?

For fans, it shouldn't matter how frustrating the game / score / season is. After a game like today, I can see why it is that other teams' fans might make a case that they are more passionate than Skins fans. What credit is it to Washington if their fans only cheer when they play well? You can find that kind of "support" on any bandwagon in the nation. . .

I'm not going to waste my time arguing with you. The Skins stunk up the place and deserved all the booing that they got. You don't put forth that type of performance and effort and expect to not get booed. This team is a joke right now and they deserve to hear about it.
