troy vincent released

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Why do you say that he is familiar with GW. He was in Philly the last year that GW coached in Buffalo! He is familiar with Jerry Gray who was his D-coordinator for his first two years in Buffalo.

because we are in ridiculously desperate need of help in the secondary. this isn't like a situation where we'd just be going out and buying an expensive vet simply because they were available, regardless of need.

we neeeeeeeeed help there. from anyone who can possibly give it.

The guy is coming off of a 102 tackle 4 int season, and you don't even want to entertain the idea of signing him??? Come on now!! Yeah thats right we have Kenny Wright....much better....

i'd take him. if it was cheap...not sure it would be though. even if springs does come back in time, he would be great in nickle or passing downs. archuleta can't cover anything, and i think it would be an upgrade.

I say sign him too we have no depth in the secondary and while he wouldnt start i think that he would be great out there on 3rd and long. He has forty some picks and knows how to finish a tackle.

The only problem is price. I have a feeling it would have to be high.

Interested in Vincent
A source said the Redskins are interested in veteran defensive back Troy Vincent, who was released by the Buffalo Bills on Thursday.

I think we should definitely take a look at him.

Our secondary is very thin, especially with Prioleau out and he could help us.

air hog got it right...we signed Vincent today...

This worries me. I thought the coaches would say -- it's an adjustment thing...this proves it's not that. They don't like who they have on the roster.
