Welcome Back to Washington Nick Novak!

I would have prefered Peterson, but oh well.
Novak is very accurate, young and has the size where you might expect him to develop more leg power.
He may not be a long term solution, but he has a chance to be...
Good luck Nick!

Does this mean Hall will be realeased? How does that work, and what cap implications will it have?Skinsfan55 wrote:http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2620413

I think Nick Novak seems like a nice guy (judging from his website Nicknovak.org... or net... I can't remember) but why are people so crazy about him?
Is it just about him replacing Hall? Is it about him going to Maryland? Is it a little of both?

I think its because he is a hometown favorite, and he did make a game winner against the Seahawks....besides its time to get a young talent in that can develop into a long term stud...he has tools to be that guy.
SPIT HAPPENS!!

I hope you're right, but there have been some questions about his distance.
Still, at 6 feet and nearly 190 pounds you would think he could work past that.

no kidding, welcome back, i'm so burned out on Hall. He did nothing in recent memory for us, nothing. Missed what could have been a huge momentum changer in Seattle last year, missed game tier in Minnesota, missed last weekend, there's more, at least 1 more I can't place last year.
Novak? hmm, beat Seattle, beat Dallas(yea, special pt) in what, 5 games?
Later, Hall....later....hope Novak can kick deeper on kickoffs

Yeah, that's all I seem to remember about him...not having a very strong leg. Hopefully he has improved his distance but more importantly, hopefully we won't need many field goals.
