We all love Ramsey,
We all love P. Ramsey, but I know I'm not the only one excited to see M. brunell in burgundy and gold.
He is a scary QB, Pat will learn alot from him. We all know how tough Patrick is, but let's face it, he on;y has 16 games under him, he really hasn't had a "real' mentor yet
Its gonna be a great year skins fans, trust me,
can't wait to see Brunell scramble to the left, the whole D bites and he lofts a screen to Portis sho runs it in 65 yards for a touchdown

I also like Brunell alot. Some people said Theismann was old with bad knees. He ended up taking the skins to two straight superbowls and becoming my childhood idol. I've been critical of Ramsey, but I think he can be a solid QB one day.I think having Brunell is great. I welcome Mark Brunell. Ramsey will gain the skills he needs and take over when Brunell retires. Brunell can still have the best years of his career. Theismann had his best years when he was 32 years old if I'm not mistaken.
Let us all gather around and drink the

Brunell is gonna be 34 when the season starts though, so I think it's safe to say that his best years are behind him. It was probably when he led the Jagz to 14-2, all the way to the AFC title game, and went to the pro bowl...
At any rate though, I agree Ramsey can learn a lot from him, I just hope Brunell guides the team for this one year only, and then Ramsey takes the reigns. I don't see the point in waisting the valuable time of a young kid with lots of talent. I really believe P-Rams should be heading into his prime, or at least moving in the right direction. Instead he'll be holding a clipboard and wearing a headset. He's 24, meaning he could play for ten or so more years, 6 or 7 at his very best.
I don't know, but its Joe's call, so I'll deal with it...

I love whoever takes us to the playoffs and wins. If it is one or two quarterbacks don't mean squat to me. If it's Mr. Magoo throwing to Mr. Ed, don't mean squat to me.
Yes I like Ramsey, Yes I like Brunell, Yes I like Lavar, but when they are long gone from the team I will still be here rooting for the latest players.
After 11 seasons of dispair, and countless coaches, I want to win and right now, and I don't care much about who gets the job done as long as it GETS DONE!
Just Minor VENTING!

I have a very good feeling Ramsey will have a better camp than Brunell.
Ramsey is a fierce competitor and Brunell ended last season as a 3rd stringer behind a rookie and 2nd year QB's.
Brunell will make a mighty fine back up, Ramsey will rise to the occasion and continue his promising career as the starter in 2004.

I'm torn about this whole thing. It would be one thing if Brunell was a backup for Ramsey - that would be optimal. But I worry what a year or more sitting the bench will do to Ramsey's psyche. He's obviously not happy right now, and I hope he doesn't become embittered and demand a trade.
The thing is, Ramsey is the kind of QB that his players just want to go to war for. I don't know if Brunell is that kind of QB or not, but I don't know how wise it is to risk such a long, potentially great future with Ramsey for a few more years out of an aging QB who hasn't had a chance to do much in the last couple years.
Personally, I would've felt totally comfortable going into the season with Ramsey and Hassellbeck, and they could've gotten another veteran QB to be mentors to both of them. They could've spent all that Brunell money on the D-line.
If Brunell wins for us, then I'll take it all back. I'm sick of losing, too. But I think Ramsey is special, and it scares me that the team has isolated him like this...

Ramsey will be fine and benefit from some time on the sideline. Brunell will give us the best chance to win now IMHO....and having PRam on the sideline for a while gives us the best chance to win later. PRam's psyche won't be damaged IMO....he's a smart guy and a student of the game who can sight many examples of QBs who have excelled from learning at a slower pace and not being thrown to the wolves right away.
God bless our troops and Joe Gibbs.
We'll miss you, Joe.

Having two solid QB's and one that is an elite amoung passer rating isn't too shabby. I am a huge fan of Ramsey and I hope that we win regardless of who starts this season and Ramsey can feed off from Brunell the best he can. I doubt this will turn out to be a Buffalo situation or even a Brad Johnson/ Jeff George nightmare. Snyder had his hands in that mess and I'm certain he will let Gibss do all of the work from here on in.
I have travelled the net and found the Redskins promise land. This is, by far, the best site out there for Redskins/NFL News, Notes, Opinions, and so much more.

I like both of these QBs. Though wouldn't you like to see Ramsey, a guy we DRAFTED, who has never been anything but a redskin, go out and do well? I know I would.
My personal prediction is that Ramsey will step in for an injured Brunell at some point this season and won't leave the field again for the next three years.

The only way Ramsey plays, will be due to an injury to Brunell. It will become evident as soon as the pads go on!
I like the screen to Portis comment. For whatever reason the Jags called very few screens. It is a great play that gives your RB some space and slows the aggressiveness of the pass rush.
