I realize he is not a member of the NFLPA and that may not be the only answer to the question. Does anyone have inside info on this? I'm curious to know why he won't let his name be used if that is the case of whatever the details are.
I was fortunate enough to get an authentic Lavar jersey at FedEx field in 2000 but this year the Fairfax Redskins store told me they don't have them at Fedex even now.
I'm sick of him being called '#57' in Madden too. That is dumb.
Basically, it's a matter of principle for him. Before he ever signed the NFLPA licensing agreement, they were hawking cards and jerseys with his name and/or likeness on them. So he refused to sign since they were making money without his permission. It is true, he may have wanted to negotiate for a higher cut (unlikely outcome in my estimation), but it's pretty clear that he was simply making a stand for something he believed--and for which I can hardly blame him.
Thanks for the input. You really can't argue with him standing up for what he believes. He doesn't need the money or anything but I'm sure he could be banking on that merch he would be selling.
I actually never thought to change his name in Madden. haha. as well as I know that game I never thought to do that. Does Michaels still say 'number fifty seven.....ends Aikmans career with that hit'? haha.

Maybe he already has Pierce, Smoot, Coles, and Stubblefield jerseys and just wants to finish the collection.

I'll give credit where credit is due. Your persistence and timing is amazing, but far from innovative.
You couldn't win a championship with that post even if no one else posted. You pointed out the date of the original in the first few lines of your "bump"
A true champ will dig up something and throw a coment out there and others just run with it, at some point later someone will point out the date the thread was started. A true champ sits back and twittles it's flippers and waits to see how long it takes other's to catch on.
Only a cup with a pink straw can anounce that he'll be digging up threads in every forum and still surprise fool post-ers that actually have hands and fingers. ( maybe it is the gloves )
