No, not bouncing up and calling a time out did. Brunell....nobody called a time out. Brunell is looking over to the side lines like "what to do?" CALL A TIMEOUT! They wasted 4-5 seconds.

Absolutely RiC - how are those burgers? And what's the weather in Halifax?

BBQ is delicious, beer is cold and the weather OK, not balmy but OK for our standards.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

wow, that was a HUGE "vote of no confidence" in brunell at the end of the half. to go for the FG on 3rd down with 11 seconds left says "i don't trust my QB not to throw the INT".

for the record, i think brunell has been playing much better than expected today... but you can't play with one arm tied behind your back like that. you can't play "not to lose", you've got to play to win!

hopefully we don't end up losing this game by 4 points or less now

No, Im not focusing on him. Betts didn't call it. None of the WR's our Linemen. I just mentioned Brunell cause I caught him looking for instrutction.

Whats the point of having "smart players" if we dont allow them to handle the game at all? These guys can't make any decisions unless they're handed to them. I dot like that one bit.

I agree. No confidence in Brunell is obvious. Campbell must really not be any good. It's too bad we have so much invested in him.

The guys on the half-time just got finished cracking jokes on Brunell.

We're still in the game.
We should be winning.
Lloyd jumped too early for a 3rd down conversion.
Brunell threw a pick.
Gibbs doesn't trust the offense.
CP hasn't been in much and it shows.

So how are we looking so far? I missed almost the entire first half (got in just after Campbell forced the fumble)

I really wasn't baiting anyone. I'm serious. I don't like Brunell at all, but Campbell must be awful. That is the only thing I can think of.

Stopping in for the half, a few observations:

* I didn't think that punt return fumble was a fumble, but I'm glad that the refs stuck to principle for once and admitted that there wasn't conclusive TV evidence.

* Brunell is looking more like an average QB today than he did last week, but it's hard to find too many faults with him. Great downfield zip, good decision-making (aside from the one INT). . .the second half will give us a fuller picture.

* Portis was out quite a bit, and I'm worried about that situation.

* Frost shanks one punt and the crowd boos. Love to see that support at FedEx. . .my guess is that those fans haven't been watching the past couple of weeks and still think that this Frost is the Frost of last year.

* Hall looks solid, one bad kickoff but not bad at all on the others or on the fieldgoals.

* MOSS.

* We're outcoaching them, we just need to see some better execution.

Thirteen points in the first half isn't bad - the defense needs to step up. I believe we are winning time of possesion by a reasonably large margin, and now it looks like Leftwich is hurting a little bit. No excuses now.
I'm bored, I'm broke, and I'm back.

It's also possible that you are unreasonably biased against Brunell. . .

They may win, but I'm not sure Brunell lights anything up, except maybe candles around his whirlpool bathtub.
