I'll betcha San Francisco is really kicking themselves now for not pulling the trigger early last season. Remember when the Skins offered them Rod Gardner and a 2nd round about a month and a half into the regular season, and they shot it down.
Now they dealt him for the 53rd pick or something like that, no Rod Gardner. To boot, the 2nd round pick would've been 37th overall, the one we eventually gave to the Broncos for Clinton Portis...

HAH, that's so true... and the eagles offer was for a 5th round pick and JAMES TRASH
. what were the 49er's thinking?? they didn't have a playoff team last year and TO was SUPPOSED TO BE a free agent this offseason, didn't they want to get anything for him?? gardener and a 2nd pick would certainly be decent consolation prize.

It might have helped us somewhat last year considering the Coles/TO combo, but what you wanna bet the bastich would have voided the last 2 years anyway leaving us in a lurch this year? Jacobs didn't get a fair shake due to his injury and then not being able to get back into the top 3 roster spots... I would like to see him get a good look.
We had Clark, Monk, Sanders.
Coles, McCants/Cloman/Gardner, Jacobs? Hmmmm..

All I can say is that San Franciso is always suprising me every time I thaught they shot themselves in the foot. Carmen Policy you might as well say raped the team of talent when they went through Cap Hell a few years back. They always tend to pull their acts together and find ways to win or put up huge upsets when everyone considers them down and out. I'm not saying they will be a team that will be a force to recon with, but give it time they will be at the top of their game respectedly. Big difference is the Front office is getting a little out of control with their BS PR moves and Erickson is a great college coach and thats it! He should even be a waterboy for most clubs. Thats IMO.
I have travelled the net and found the Redskins promise land. This is, by far, the best site out there for Redskins/NFL News, Notes, Opinions, and so much more.
