Boy, Mark Brunell is proving some haters wrong. . .he's had some good downfield zip on passes, has continued to make good decisions, and is simply looking good.

Hopefully with this lead, the D can get more aggressive and dominate the 2nd half.

BTW, It feels really good to be up at half-time.

He's definately proved his still has some heat on his passes. For one possession I thought he regressed because he kept dumping passess off to Sellers... Im not sure if he still feels "safe" in the pocket.

Brunell's looking good.. The pass to ARE that got called back was a little underthrown but the completion to Patten was a bullet. He looks completely different when his confidence is up and he knows he has time to sit back and find a man.

Irn-bru...I don't think he's proved anyone right or wrong yet. We're playing Houston. Lets save the who's right and who's wrong to after this game and after a couple weeks of reflection please.

I will say I'm seeing a different Brunell here and one that I like. I'm with CLL in seeing that at times he's not too confident of his protection (which has also been a problem)

Whatever

Houston, Dallas, and the Vikings have nothing to do with the heat that Brunell puts on the ball.

Sure, he might have better stats because it's Houston, but the main complaint against Brunell all along has been that he can't get it deep. How can you account for the half that he just had if that's true?

I am feeling great right now about the Skins because they have managed to build drives. They aren't looking for some quick-hitting drives. Instead, they are chewing up the clock and scoring. The defense is playing very well against a more than capable Houston offense, save for the first posession. Even so, the Texans haven't been able to sustain a drive, which is a very good sign for the Skins.

He threw exactly 1 or 2 longer passes. Most were short. The big yardage gain came off CP's YAC. Thats how I explain it.

Like I said - I'd rather not argue the poitns now. Lets do it later. For now I'm enjoying our offense playing well

No matter how you look at it, 12 for 12 is pretty damn impressive!

Very good half of football from the Redskins offense. EIGHT different receivers for WAS.

it'd be great f the o-line could cut down on the penalties. You're going to get some when you're bossing a game, but you still have to limit the hankies.

MB played it very, very safe but you can't ask much more than 14/14.

People are shocked that CP means so much to this offense? :hmm:

Best football from betts so far too... but you can say that about vitually every single player on the offense. It isn't saying much.

Good to build from though. Need to come out in the second with the exact same mantra and this Texans D will just be exhausted late in the 4th. This team needed that half from the offense.

The defense weren't perfect but they played tight enough. Kenny Wright is easily replaceable (get well Shawn), Kedric Golston - great job by the Rook!

Lots to be happy about... it is the Texans... but allow yourself at least the pleasure of enjoying a good half of football.

I agree with what the announcer said earlier in the game about our offense being able to be productive with short yard plays because of the playmakers we have. We don't need to go deep to put up big numbers. I think a confident Brunell and a strong game out the Oline is all this offense needs to put up the numbers to win games. Put the ball in the hands of Portis, Moss, Lloyd, and Cooley and we're going to be effective.

I love the way we are playing right now (besides the special teams and o-line penalties).

This is the way we SHOULD be playing against Houston.

Next week's game against Jacksonville will prove how good we really are.
