I just wanted to take a minute to thank you guys, for being good smack talkers and decent folks....(no i am not going anywhere)....I just thought you guys deserved some credit.....
This weekend i kinda experienced some racist comments on another skins board.......and it was about the 3rd time i had experienced it...i was dissappointed but I did not let it get to me or make me act out of character....
Well I just had to get that off my chest and my heart.....

Beleive or not, I do beleive that there are some decent folks out there that are Cowboy fans, LOL. I am always will to do some smack and defend the NEW AMERICA'S TEAM>>>>>GO SKINS. BTW, I never remember voting for the Cowboys to be America's team. How did that happen. I know, It was a rigged election. Gam, I hope you never experience that behavior here. Seriously, sorry some dope called you something "racist" in nature. That's certainly taking things way too far. And that's about as far as I'll go in consoling a Cowboys fan, as I generally despise your ilk with the burning white hot heat of a thousand suns. (just joking - it's really only about a hundred suns).
But this reminds me of the last time I consoled a Cowboys fan. It was a little kid coming out of last year's final game, where we finally beat the pukes after so long. The little Cowboy fan was crying his eyes out. At first, it brought me great joy, but then, I have to admit, I started feeling bad for him, knowing what that feeling was like. I told him it was okay, they'd win again at some point.
That was when his cowboy fan mamma said, "This is the first game he's ever come to, and he's never seen the Cowboys lose to the Redskins his whole life. He didn't think they COULD lose to the Redskins."
At that point, my pity disappeared and I began smack talking this little 8 year old like nobody's business. His new outburst of tears was like music to my soul.
But hey, the point is, I at least had an INKLING of pity for a Cowboys fan. And I didn't think that was possible. So, for now....SalaamAlakem...

I have said it before, you can go to a Dallas game and see a Cowboy fan with a foam Cowboy #1 hand on, wearing a Lakers jersey, annd a Yankees hat.
one of my oldest and dearest friends is black and a die-hard cowboy fan....we grew up together in the DC area, where he still lives and works as a lobbyist for the wrong side of the isle....and although he and I don't see things the same politically or root for the same team, our friendship will always be our first priority.
I think Cowboy and Skins fans thrive off one another.....who else could we rub it in on when we win if not? Probably because of where I am, I know just about as much about the Cowboys as I do about the Skins.
But of course, the Cowboys still suck!

Why do you continue to call Dallas Fans Bandwagoners. If you are at a Cowboys game, like myself, most of those fans are from the D/FW area? Do you not see fans in the AAC rooting for the Stars and Mavericks? I will admit, Dallas has some of the most Fickle Fans in the NFL, but that doesnt mean they will go cheer for another team, just because the Cowboys are not doing so good.

Dude, my uncle was a skins fan and then he moved to Dallas and changed sides overnight!!! What's up with that?!?! Well, I never talked to him again and got a legal divorce from my family just to make up for it. Fortunately there is no blood relation and he was never a real sports fan anyway. Just one of those bandwagon fans. Still makes me feel ill just thinking about it. I'm Redskin through and through (I even claimed it on my college apps but that's another story).
Funny how these rivalries go though. I for one am a Dukie and the same guys who I celebrate with after beating Carolina can also be the guys I'm screaming with over football (three of my best friends are Philly fans, and a couple others are Cowboys fans). Then I get back to MD and all those Twerps wanna kill me even though we all love the 'Skins. You know I got A LOT of phone calls Sunday afternoon. Well, five ACC titles in a row ain't too bad ( I kinda feel like the 8 year old boy, I've never experienced a loss in the ACC tourny). Also, as much as the Terps hate me, I don't hate them. I can only root for two teams to go to hell and those are the Tar Heels and the Cowboys (well, I think I could just fit the Yankees in there too). GO TO HELL CAROLINA (er, Dallas)!

Now you know why I was so tweaked in the smack forum when someone played the race card from the other direction. I don't believe race is an issue when we are talking about athletes performing well or not. Racism is an ugly card played on either side and it relates to football in no way when you are discussing the stuff that happens on the field.
People who lean on race in discussing which team is better or worse are about as relevant as who the 10th string water boy is in NFLEurope.
