Three Questions?????
1. "Is Joe Gibbs out of touch with the current NFL with his "old skool" loyalty to a QB that should have been retired and has he lost control of this team?" In this day of Free Agency, Salary Caps, and short windows of opportunity, Gibbs needs to scale back his thinking a little bit in terms of loyalty to players. That worked back in the day because you needed to show players that you were with them and over the long haul they will get better with you because you had them on your team longer. But now with Free Agency and the limited window of opportunity, you don't have that luxury. Especially as good as the NFC East is this year overall. He and is "star" running back are clearly on two different planets when it comes to his injury. This team is still committing errors that they shouldn't and players are not playing to their ability.
2. "Why is everything so tight-lipped and hush-hush around Redskins Park?" When clearly, if there were any real "Leaders" on this team, you would have heard them or heard about that "team meeting" that put people out there and called people out, like back when ugys like B-Mitch and Gary Clark were playing"? It's time for people to be called out. Hell, they get paid a lot of money and they are grown-azz men, so they should be able to deal with it.
3. "How long before the "meltdown" of the players on defense and the playmakers that we bought in on offense in reference to the QB situation and the lack of firepower from the offense?" It's like what was said on the Comcast Post Game show, why buy a Ferrari if you are not going to drive it. Portis is out yes, but there are still enough weapons on that offense to score 20+ points a game. You could see the "meltdown" begining when Brunell threw that pick right after the defense got them the ball back. The defense let down, letting Dallas go 99 yards. And it's only a matter of time before a player or players break and start criticizing their coaches and teammates...

what the players need to do is not "meltdown" to the media or any outside source, but call a special private meeting with the coach, without brunell, and tell them how important it is for them to get brunell out of there.

The frustration on field is obvious. Gibbs' and the other coaches know all about it. It's just that Gibbs won't do anything about it, for whatever reason.
I'd like to know why. Something wierd has been going on for some time now.
Gibbs starting a badly injured and blatantly ineffective QB against Seattle was, I thought, the ultimate dive into the pit; but, the failure to take Brunell out even after the game with the Cowgirls was painfully lost was just as looney in its own way.
Instead of putting in Campbell, Gibbs apparently let Brunell pad his stats during garbage time. Who does that fool?
Campbell should have been give some experience....unless, of course, he is
terribly unready...in which case Ramsey should have been kept. Nobody sane expects Brunell to last out the season.

You could see that in Kelli Johnson's short interview with Coles on his way off the field.
After saying the obligatory 'They outplayed us, there was nothing we could do,' KJ asked about what can be done to get the offense going and Santana's response was along the lines of 'I can't talk about that. Hey, I'm just a player, you know?"

If Coles/Moss said that, it makes you wonder if they're losing faith in Brunell also. Listening to Marks post-game interview, you could tell that he knew he lost that game.
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!

just before the end of the 2nd quarter, with possesion of the ball, down by 7, with 55 secs on the clock AND 2 timeouts, they let the clock run out...... I don't remember Gibbs doing that in the old days. In the final seconds of the game the Skins moved the ball downfield trying to save some face, couldn't do it, but why they did't do it before the end of the half, just to try to get 3 pts? If you are a player and you see that happen, what is your reaction? SAD DAY for me.

There was one play where Moss beat his man pretty badly down the sideline and there was no safety to help cover him. Brunell held the ball too long and then threw a little dump pass off the target towards one of our TE's or RB's. In the NBC coverage you could see the frustration Moss was going through. He threw his arms up in the air and threw his head back. That scares me because that attitude is very infectious when guys start losing confidence in their QB.
I'm not one to throw the season down the tubes after a couple bad games, but Brunell needs to at least make an effort to get the ball to his guys if he wants to turn this "losing streak" around. Let the playmakers make plays. He can't play scared like he has the past two weeks.

I understand completely how you feel, but it begs the question...
Was Moss frustrated at:
Brunell?
the lines collapse?
A dropped ball or errant pass?
The play calling?
While, yes, the frustration was visible, it doesn't automatically equate to Moss losing confidence in Brunell. On the other hand, the fans........
Back and better than ever!

I saw that too. I wish were in the early days of satellite where we could get "live feeds" into an actual camera in stadium so that we could see more that what T.V. is showing us, so that we can really see what is going on with with the receivers down field. Because I cannot imagine that Moss, Randle-El, and Lloyd can't get open.
I think that right now, this organization needs to get real with itself and stop making us loyal fans suffer through this crap.
-- Brunell is done, sit him down;
-- Get some discipline and start holding guys accountable; I'm sick of hearing, "well our guys played their hearts out"; that ain't cutting it;
-- If Snyder is willing to shell out money for coaches, then throw Ron Wolf or Charlie Casserly some and get someone in here that can make the right personnel moves;
Maaaannnnnnn!!! I'm just sick of this crap from this team. Joe Gibbs is holding onto a QB that should not be in the league; you have chaos with your star player (Portis) on whether or not he is playing; you got Al Saunders questioning rather or not he has the right players to run his offense;
there is just so much crap..............

Wasn't Casserly behind the Texans passing on Reggie Bush for Mario Williams in the draft this year? It's early, but that's lining up to be one of the great bone-headed draft moves of all time.

That's why he quit. He wanted Reggie Bush but the owner didn't.....

i think people are overlooking the play of our o-line..brunell had to throw before he wanted to all night.. they werent holding anyone...the only time that changed is when they were only rushing 3 and brunell had time to throw at the end of the game......

How'd that guy get on the field?
Satellite feed.

Sorry, my bad. It was Moss. I had just checked my FFL points and Coles is on my team.

Ron Wolfe I agree but Casserly no. He is a grade A moron look what he did at Houston acually one of my friends owes me 50 bucks because i bet him that as long as Casserly is there they won't have a winning record and they didn't.

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
