Way too many glaring weaknesses that can't be fixed this season. Mainly on defense. You can't let quality players leave your team year after year and not expect it to bite your a$$!! reference Pierce and smoot. We have no consistency at the QB position were it is needed most. And the pleasant surprise coming from last nights game was how PATHETIC Carlos Rodgers is as a CB!! He is a First round pick and can't cover?? Don't get me started on this Andre Carter but if the 2-14 49ers didn't want him, then what the hell did the braintrust see in this guy??? Long season indeed and I'm sure Gibbs will hang it up after this. Sad
3-13

speaking of other qb's, it just dawned on me why we haven't seen a trick play with ARE.... we can't have a WR throw a TD before boonell does, that might spark a QB contoversy.jru37726 wrote:With Mark Brunell at QB-3-13
With anyone else (including Joe Gibbs) at QB- 10-6

but as far as predictions, there are too many "if's" at this point.

we WILL go 3-13 with brunell playing like this, and while it's possible he could miraculously heal up, i'm not willing to give him the time that would take. if we put campbell in NOW, and i mean NOW, we could get to 9-7 or even 10-6. we can not afford to wait.
one more meaningless loss will be too many to catch up from (i say meaningless because if it's brunell, it's a waste, if it's a loss we take with campbell at QB, that ought to translate into wins later on because he'll have gotten the experience).
the change has to happen THIS WEEK. anything else is unacceptable.

My revised prediction...
After week 1, I believe I said 5-11. I've changed my mind after watching last night's slop. I now say 3-13.

I try not to take important decisions or to open my mouth in anger, frustration or when I am profoundly disappointed. So, today is not a good day to Hognosticate our final season record.joebagadonuts wrote:7-9 (I'm an optimist).
It is devastating to see our team play two weeks in a row as if they may not win another game throughout the rest of the season. It is devastating to see that the entire season might go to the dump before mid-season after so much work, after so many expectations, and after so many years of frustration.
We are trying to look for answers or explanations. Everybody is trying to find scapegoats in players and coaches. When the failure is SO massive, my guns turn against Snyder. But I will leave it at that. I will wait to receive more information before I expand on this.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!
I'll go out on a limb and say that 12-4 might be a stretch right now but 11-5 is do-able
10-6 or 9-7 is probably more realistic
I find it a lot easier to think about the possibilities and hope for the best in spite of what we are seeing on the field. I saw this team play the Jacksonville game and I'd rather think that team is going to show up next Sunday than the team that played yesterday.
I am very disapointed in how we are playing and am looking forward positively, as difficult as that is with all the breakdowns across the board that we saw yesterday.
As I have said before I get a certain amount of satisfaction during these weeks after bad losses from some of the doubters here who are just so aggressive about their feelings. We all hate to lose especially games like this but we have a good team and I'm hoping for the best.
I'm sure there will be an interesting week of practice and it will be nice to see some tackling next Sunday. If things do not change much then we might see some new starters against Dallas.

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I'm with you, SkinsJock. Keep the faith.

Boos
I've never heard the Boos like I did at FedEx yesterday. In my opinion it's not one game, it's the four the skins have lost. No deep threat, unless you count the Texans game. Can someone explain how #26 only gets 14 carries? Please, he should of had 25 carries at a minimum.

I just watched a much worse team than ours outplay the Bears - if that team can do that against a team that some thought (shows how little a lot of so called knowlegeable NFL people know!) was one of the best defensive teams of all time then I am certainly not about to look towards next season yet like some here.
I know that the Bears won but their offense was an embarrasment and never even scored a point or factored in this decision.
Our loss was not as bad as how the Bears played offensively tonight.
