Brunell getting hurt...severely. Gibbs still played him at the end of last year when he was hurt, so it has to be major. Anyone havae Tonya Harding's rolodex?

I wish Gibbs would just have a spasm and blurt out "Brunell suck". That would make me happy.

I can't believe I'm agreeing on Frost, especially after I called for his job last week, but I do. I still think he's not the long-term answer to our punting/kickoff issues, but he didn't do horrible. Danny Smith gets another week, and can go into Houston knowing that, for once, it wasn't his guys (Hall, Frost, the special teams coverage guys) that lost this game.

We can possibly make the playoffs if we go at least 9-7. But that means we can only lose 5 more games the rest of the year.

I was too negative about Brunell (thus our prospects) before the game and predicted we'd lose 35 to 13. I was wrong. I'll be more optimistic next time.

Heck, I'll just be thrilled if we can pull out a close one against Houston at this point.

Well I feel about as negative right now as anyone, and hanging in here just keeps the feeling going. So, in light of having to go to work tomorrow, It's time to go for one last beer to try to cool off and let the simmering anger about the way they played go away. Let's all hope for a bette outcome next week against Houston.

The only awesome point in tha game is when Sean Taylor stuck ol T.O. a few times. O

On tha good note at least T.O. didnt get his infamous touchdown celebration on our defense.

i'm absolutely sick of this same old crap. mark brunell is ineffective, he's old, and he's washed up. i don't want to spend a lot of time or effort on the subject because its like beating a dead horse, but then again that's what the cowboys did to mark brunell tonight. his performance was nothing short of dreadful tonight, as we all know. However, one thing happened tonight that was positive. Al Michaels said something that got me: "Al Saunders said he [Jason Campbell] will go from 3 to 1, not from 3 to 2 to 1, 3 to 1." The future is now guys, and it doesn't take a frickin hall of fame coach to see that. Let Campbell play against the Texans, a team that is woeful in their own right, but will make Mark Brunell look like a chump any day. Let the kid get in there, throw the ball around, and see if he can't make a play. Mark got up slow after a few of those sacks, and its only a matter of time before he doesn't get up at all. He's better off as a backup for us, so i'm not saying to get rid of him entirely, just demote him on the depth chart.

Some of you may disagree with me and say that its only been 2 games and we need to give him a chance to show that he can carry us. I say F-that. He's old. He's hurting. He's ineffective. Game over Mark, its been a good run.
Sean, may you always rest in peace and look down on us with the same love that we look up to you.

Hail to the Redskins!

My prediction for next week - JC or Collins starts.
Wrong thinking is punishable.
Right thinking will be as quickly rewarded.
You will find it an effective combination.

How much of an old timer are you? Gibbs won't bench Brunell unless he has five more weeks like this!

I'm hoping Gibbs isn't senile. If he starts Brunell again, I'll start to wonder. Michaels and Madden were practically wondering out loud why Brunell was playing, especially after the 6 for 20 passing stat graphic. This is getting past the point of ridiculousness.

We have given up on some good players over the years that we should have kept.

1. Smoot (he was a very good CB)
2. Pierce (smart and sound)
3. Arrington (heart and soul of D)

Good points, but our problems tonight weren't defense. It was an offense that was totally missing in action. It's astounding that a QB that is as unproductive as MB is still playing. Bizarre, really.

Last time I checked none of the play offense and THATS WHY WE LOST.
