Sad thing is Gibbs has to trot out and play that same BS tune 'Guys fought their guts out" "We're all in it together." "Great bunch of guys." all while laughing in embarassment and supporting Brunell....I love Joe, but Brunell is washed up.....maybe not, maybe its just the utter disgust and frustration of losing to Dallas.
SPIT HAPPENS!!

THE BEST TEAMS ARE THE ONES WHO HAVE BEEN TOGETHER THE LONGEST UNDER THE SAME SYSTEM. WITH SNYDER AS THE OWNER, WE HAVE NO CHANCE AT GOING TO THE NEXT LEVEL.
BUT I STILL LOVE THE REDSKINS!!!!
Get over yourself, dude. Snyder is not the problem at the current time. He didn't turn to Gibbs and say "these are the players on my wish list". It was the exact opposite arrangement. Snyder's willingness to spend is the reason why hopes get so high. But still, please at least make the effort to note that Gibbs wanted to bring all these people in.
You didn't acknowledge the first part of my statement... do you disagree with my assertion that continuity is important to sucess? The Redskins have had by far the lowest level of continuity over the last 6 years, and their record shows it. They changed the least from 2004 to 2005, and look what happened toward the end of the 2nd year... a playoff team.
Anyone who thinks that you can just overhaul a system and win football games first-year is a fool. And when you repeat the same mistaken strategy 6 years in a row, that qualifies for moron status. I don't think Gibbs pulls the strings here. I'm also just a little ticked off that we never got to realize the benefits of struggling through the growing pains of building a good team. Every year the foundation was layed, the first floor was built, and Snyder came out and said "it's ugly, tear it down and start again!"
As I said before, Snyder has destroyed the Redskins that I grew up watching.
It is quite funny that I can respond to your 2 paragraphs in just 2 sentences, this being one of them. I never refuted what you said about continuity, even for one second, but clarified that the Danny has not played a large role in two to three years.

The Oline has clearly lost confidence here. They were beaten like a red-headed step child in this game. They got progressively worse. Its amazing how much money we have invested in that line considering how absolutely horrid they played.

This is just it - our guys did NOT play their guts out, especially not the Oline.

also, who the heck is calling the plays?
run run run run run rnu rnurnurnurnurnurnurn
D looked good. So did moss and ARE. rock gave us momentum and we ran it away. till there was nothing left.
No Kidding. I SOOOOO don't understand the play calling after the fumble. The ONLY way you call those plays is if you have no confidence in anything over a 10 yard pass.

Sorry man, but it's true. Gibbs, I think, still won't admit that signing him as his first move was a mistake. He'll be loyal to him until the end.
You'll always be remembered Sean. R.I.P.

Are we really this bad?
Inability to rush the passer
Inability to give our own QB time
Inability to cover the receivers
Inability to get the ball to our playmakers
Inability to create turnovers
Penalty after penalty after penalty
I figured it would take some time to get Saunders offense down and I knew that Springs injury would hurt, but I did not realize that we were this deficient.
At 0-2, I think it is time to take some risks. I want to see Campbell.
