Carlos Rogers

Post by Skinsfan55 »

This relates to the Redskins obviously, but since this is just a quick question and isn't all that important I put it here.

Did Carlos Rogers shrink?

When he was a rookie, he was listed at 6'0'' (His fan site at www.carlosrogers.com has him at that, NFL.com, his prospect profile on NFL.com) but some sites like foxsports.com, ESPN and the Redskins official site list him as being 5'11'

Not that it's that big of a deal, because it's only an inch's difference, but 6'0'' sounds a lot more intimidating than 5'11"... it's just kind of funny.

Don't we have sophisticated measuring equiptment in the NFL? At the combine didn't they do his height and weight with something other than a run of the mill tape measure? Where did this difference come from? It he 5'11'' and a half and some people just refused to round up for him?

I want to know. Anyone have a clue?

The NFL is notorious for exagerrating people's height and weight beyond what they actually are. I don't know if it's for posturing or what, but it happens all the time. Usually it's the weight that's being toyed with, however, and not the height.

Yeah, but in this case, the NFL is actually putting less than what is reported on other sources. Weird.
