This one's for NikiH
So, with 5 minutes left in the Vikings game, I head up to the Club Level (to beat the rush) to watch the final moments of the game.
Immediately, I felt I was out of my element.
I just had this "feel" like I was hanging out with the "rich folk" and many of them were watching the game from the couches. I bet they were there the whole game! I walked around to get the layout of the land because, in the future, I plan on hanging out there after the 1:00 PM games are over, watching some of the 4:00 PM games while the traffic leaving the stadium dies down.
To me, I am starting to agree with NikiH. It felt like the best fans were the ones sitting with me, or around me. Once I got up in the Club area, it felt like I was around people that were more interested in being "seen in the Club level" versus "watching the game".
Hopefully, I won't feel as out of place when I go there for future games.
Not saying that all club level fans are inadequate fans at all (only those that would sit on the couch the whole game). Just trying to describe how I felt being up there.

I sit in the club level, have season tickets there for 5 years.
You are right that lots of the fans are more concerned with walking around the concourse and ordering food from the waiters than the game but there are some of us who do really, really care about the Redskins.
I have never once in 5 years watched even one play from a couch (although I have sometimes run down from my seat to one of the TVs to watch an instant replay of a play being challenged when the Skins dont show it on the JumboTron) and I always cheer very loudly for the Redskins.
If you don't believe me, you can give me a call today. My voice is so hoarse I was practically using sign language yesterday.
My point is that while there are many people in the club level who are just there for a one time fun experience and barely even glance at the field, there are those of us who actually watch the game and cheer and care deeply about what happens to the Redskins on the field.

Good for you! I was not putting down all club level fans, just those that sit on the couch during games, ya know?
As for you, keep up the good work!!!

Which line are you talking about JH? I didn't leave until all the players entered the lockeroom and then I calmly walked to the elevator. Then the nice lady pushed the up arrow and it took all of 30 seconds to get the elevator! There is never more then a 5 minute wait there! I think you've been using the wrong line!

JH - Perhaps you and JPM36 ought to get together after games on the club level and personally change the atmosphere there. Shmooze with some off thse folk, and get them to see the light about being a Skins fan. Be a crusader. Get those yellow seats filled!!! I know you can do it!!! What say you?
Back and better than ever!

Does this mean that I can't watch the Redskins while sitting on my couch? Do I have to fly 2,600 miles and sit in one of those seats behind the pole to be considered a Redskins fan? Why if so, I will just call Danny and have him send Redskin 1 to pick me up, have a limo waiting at airport...with champagne, a suit of rooms at the Hilton, penthouse if you please and go sit in the nasty seat behind the pole.
Nah, I will just sit home on my couch.
Oh God, Sunday I have to sit with a Dallas fan at his house. Oh well, at least he has to buy the beer, ops sorry...Cowboy champagne.
Just funnin you guys & Gals.
