A huge mistake

So I have a confession. Lately I have been overworked, underpaid, and no where near had enough rest. Now that I have given you guys my mindset, a couple of weeks ago I went to a breast cancer fund raiser and won Dodger tickets to see them play San Diego. I was so excited b/c even though I'm not the biggest baseball fan, this is a good matchup because of the race for 1st place in the division. Anyways, I had to choose 3 dates this month of games I wanted to go to and for some reason i chose this Sunday (Sept 17th). What was I thinking? Skins vs pukes. I can't get rid of the tickets. I paid 1000 bucks for the 4 tickets, and two autographed baseballs. I blew it guys. I will Tivo it and watch at 11:00 pm. Sorry but I will be delayed.

normally i would blow a fuse if someone postponed football for baseball... but $1000 buys you all the time you want!

plus your contribution toward breast cancer research means you could be going to a high school field hockey game and we can't hold it against you.

That's not so bad - heck, I'm coaching my 2nd daughter's Under 5 soccer team (as much as a collection of 4-year olds can be coached, which isn't much) most Sunday afternoons between 1 and 5. Luckily the first two 'skins games don't conflict with this soccer circus! :lol:

baseball over football??? ok, ok, wait a minute, even better: baseball over the REDSKINS? even better yet: boring, like watching paint dry, rather have an anal probe done, baseball over the SKINS vs girls game, in a hostile house ????

i'd give the baseball tickets away... give them away. it would take more than a thousand dollars to keep me from watching the skins vs pukes.

Oh, I'm mainly going there for the food and beer. I love to overpay. Are you kidding me. I really don't enjoy baseball at all except in person. Good new was today they changed the game to a 1:00 first pitch so we will leave early if we need to and we can still catch it on time.

Reading this reminded me of how much baseball really does suck. It's a sport where the players spend almost as much time sitting down as the fans. Even in NASCAR the drivers are doing work while sitting down, not scratching themselves and watching a baseball game.

I do love funnel cake, though.
