Patrick Ramsey cooled down yet?

Post by Skins-JBJR »

Just wanted to know if things have simmered down with Patrick. He is our future QB. I hope he stays.[/b]

I haven't seen anything to the contrary - of course he is back from the islands and might have told his agent to shut the **** up and let me do my job...

I still wonder how much of that was his agent running his big mouth while his client was sun tanning and swimming...

Well, let's put it this way: did he say anything to put himself in a pile while the rumors were swirling? nope

I don't think he really put himself in the mindset where he had to be cooled down.

By the way, welcome to the board!

Even if he was bent out of shape you have to believe Gibbs when he says there will be a fair contest. He doesn't care how much Brunell is being paid, he wants to win now! With the way Ramsey has behaved and held himself in the last two years (other than the contract holdout) he has shown that he really is a team player and as Coach Gibbs would put it he has "character." We now have two really good QBs with "character" and the competition will be healthy. Ramsey has to believe that eventually he can beat out a player ten years older than he is even if he does have the 9th best career QB rating. I really don't see it being a problem once the season gets going, but then again I may be completely wrong.

I gotta agree with you there hkHog...both of these guys are classy Qb's and will have mutual respect for each other. They may end up even becoming as close as Vinny was to Pennington then again it could turn out to be a Flutie/ Johnson type of relationship too. I think Ramsey will be the QB of the future and I hope that he retains the starting role, it'll be exiciting either way because it gives him that extra added incentive knowing that his replacement is on the sidelines if things don't go as plan. And if he gets hurt....WELL let's put it this way I'd take Brunell over Hassellbeck, Johnson, or Gilbran any friggin day. The man has earned his keep in the NFL and he may end up being one of the best tutors Ramsey could ever ask for. Let's hope that things will be competitive but friendly.[/quote]

Ramsey is the QB of the future, and I would be more mad about losing him than I have been in a long time. I would be as mad as I have ever been, like when the refs called that bogus Pass Interference call on Leomont Evans in the 1999 divisional playoff round against the Tampa Bay Bucs in Florida, at Raymond James Stadium...

Since he is sticken though, I'm happy :) :) :)

Lets move on from the QB subject.

This is old news.

Fact: Ramsey and Brunell will compete for the job. Either way we have the most talented depth in the league at QB.

Fact: Majority of the Skins fans support Patrick and support him as a player and want him around for years to come
burp.

I haven't seen CS contract redone yet?? He has the same agent as PR and said he wouldn't be as willing to do it if the Skins didn't give PR a trade. Any chance the Skins will trade PR on draftday if the opporunity presents itself??
