Now I had heard in Japan Haiku writing was a really respected skill, and that great poets would write them as love letters.

It seems to me it's pretty easy to write one, why would this be such a respected skill? Did I get that part all wrong, or is it way harder to write these in Japanese? Did there used to be more rules?)

*The beauty of haiku is in creating a maximum of expression with a minimum of words. Trying to say all you want to say while constrained by the limits imposed in this form of writing engenders the respect. It probably is harder to do in Japanese. And with that said...*

Okay BossHog, you said we should call out illegal Haiku's. I'm not sure on this one. (Sorry JF don't mean to pick on ya) . I guess the middle line is legal if "fire" counts as 2 syllables as in Fi-er, but I'm thinking its only one syllable. Can I get a ruling?

I pronounce Fire Fi Er. That's two syllables.

It turns out that I find haikus very entertaining. Nice call, Boss.

Stepping on the field
They see Sean, Marcus, and Griff
The Brads want to leave

Portis, Duckett, Betts
Can run thru this D at will
We also have Moss

Listen carefully
At the crowd yelling out Smooooot
Those are boos now Fred

Childress versus Gibbs?
This matchup just makes me laugh
Jokes on you Zygi

Sean is the baddest
Freddie Smoot is the saddest
Skins fans are gladdest
