Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

How is your hearing?

Post by theoneandonly#9 »

Has anybody seen or heard from the true "voice of the Redskins", Frank Herzog? I'm sorry, I have given Larry Michael the benifit of doubt. I still have a hard time listening to him. The Hall of Famers are the only thing that keep me listening to Redskins Radio. The key to being a play-by-play announcer is to make it possible for a person with-out sight to envision the game in their minds. Ohhing and ahhing over plays does not work on radio. As Jim Carr famously said in Slap Shot, "did you see that, oh you can't see that I'm on radio.

I'm impressed. It takes a big man to admit that he actually saw Step Up.

I think that last year he did a couple of preseason games for Comcast, but other than that I'm not sure exactly what he's up to.

Here's a bio that seems up to date: http://www.wtopnews.com/?nid=73&sid=844834

I agree with you about Redskins radio. . .the only reason we still listen at my house is for Sonny and Sam. Once they leave, there doesn't seem to be much hope that it will be any good at all.
