Watchout with Redskins gift cards

Post by frankcal20 »

So last Christmas I got a Skins gift card. I tried to place an order last week but the online store didn't recognize the gift card number. I spoke with their Customer Service on Friday morning and placed the order. I spoke with someone today because I had yet to recieve shipping confirmation. Well I found out that it wouldn't be sent out until tomorrow. We are talking about 6 days lost not to mention the fact that the shipping cost was $7.00 for a T-shirt. Whats going on with them. I tell you, I think that I am going to ask for a gift card from ESPN Shop this year. I have never seen such bad service. So I called there today and spoke with a Supervisor and they said that the only way I could get it faster was if I paid extra money. They said that they processed the order in a timely manner. 6 Days. Is it just me overreacting or am I in the right. I wanted to wear that shirt for my fantasy football draft this weekend.

So I just called back and they said that if I wanted it by this weekend that I would have to pay $29.95 to have it here. It is a T-Shirt. It only cost $25.00. I just hate how there is no accountability on their behalf. I am going to contact management there and if I need to, I will write a letter to the head of customer relations because this is terrible.

I will protest the "No Redskins Online Store"

Sounds like our custom jersey saga. A few years ago, Scott's dad wanted a Jansen jersey. Before they made them. We custom ordered him one in the first week of November for Christmas. We got it in February. I was so mad. The only thing they did was give us free shipping. We paid a lot of money for the jersey and they acted as if the speed of making the thing and sending it was out of their control and how dare we be angry that his Christmas gift was coming late??

Customer service is dead.

You know it really is. I have insurance with USAA. I know that they are really not the cheapest but they always take care of everything. My Jeep was hit by a car in the parkinglot and they did a hit and run. My insurance took care of it all, no questions asked. They didn't increase my insurance or anything. That is truely the only company that i have accounts with that do business as it should be done. I try to use them as a guide in my own business. I just wish us a the public could somehow put their foot down and say that we have had enough. I'm not even going to get into offshoreing. You can't even understand those people. And they are there to give you technical support. Whatever.

I agree 100%...I have nothing but good things to say about USAA's service. They know how to do it the right way. :)

Yep USAA is top rate - I've had nothing but good experiences with them. We've had a hit and run, car accident (wife), a couple of tixs (wife again) and a stupid carpet issue (me being stupid). They were fair and understanding. Of course I've been with them since 88 and those 3 "issues" all happened in the last 3 years. Jumped the wife's car ins up a bit but fairly.

They are about the only one's with consistant customer service I know about. T. Rowe Price would be the other company I would recommend for service and commitment.

USAA is subsidized by the government, and is not a "for profit" corporation.
