What are you looking for against the Pats?

Talk about the Washington Football Team here. Do you bleed burgundy and gold?

What are you looking for against the Pats?

Post by Justice Hog »

Me, I'm looking for three things, I guess:

(1) For the starting offense to start "looking" like they're starting to "get it"....just a little;

(2) For the starting defense to continue to beat the crap out of the opponent; and

(3) For Jesse Lumsden to get some serious playing time so he can show the coaches (and the rest of us) just what he is capable of doing!

Other than that, I honestly don't care.

more passion... for the team to look like they did in that 5 game stretch last year... they felt it... you could see the emotion on the field, carry it through to the regular season

I wouldn't mind seeing Duckett getting some playing time and leaving some cleat marks on Harrison on his way to the end zone.

People may not remember exactly what you did
or what you said....

~BUT~
they will ALWAYS remember how you made them feel.

Good play from some of the young guys. It's their last chance before we have to cut 23 players.

I'd love to see a flash of greatness from any of the following players: Arch, Duckett, Campbell, Lloyd, Taylor, and Washington. Not because I'm worried about any of them, but just because I think they will be fun to watch.

Aside from the usual (no injuries, seeing each unit click), I'd also like to see an INT and a running play that breaks 50+ yards.

1. I want to see Campbell continue to improve.
2. I want to see TJ knock someone on their behind.
3. Im not worried about the offense but Id like to see them score a TD. LOL
4. Defensive sack by the front four.
5. Steady play from our new DB's.
6. Improved play from our 2nd units.

I agree in one sense but I think it's really tough for any team in the NFL to feel that type of passion in the preseason. I, for one, would never expect it.

Now.....come game #1? That's when I'd like to start seeing it!

I couldn't agree more about this, Justice Hog. I'm willing to accept that this is preseason. But so far this preseason I've watched both the Eagles and Cowboys move the ball competently down the field with their first team offense while the Skins have looked like garbage.

I could care less if they win the preseason game, but that offense needs to start looking like its for real this weekend.

I'm hoping for no injuries and getting a glimpse at TJ Duckett.

Somebody we know  put a little candle under the chairs of the team in the locker room for over 15 minutes after a lackluster and dispirited performance against the Jets. It ain't gonna happen again tomorrow. No sir.

I do not care who plays, for how long and with what vanilla flavour offense/defense. The 1st/2nd/3rd team will play with intensity.

Mark these words, please.

We need to get OFF the O's back. I watch and tivo the games and needless to say ive been through the jets game a hundred times. Our O can move the ball. Brunell was laughing after that great catch by randle el for 26yds, guess what? 2 runnin plays up the GUT! by betts (he sucks) and a throw away on 3rd and long where brunell didnt want to get sacked , sounds like some great playcalling huh? Ive seen nice catches from el and lloyd and nothing from moss. Now please tell me do U think that will last? Our wr corps is just plain awesome and together they will be unstoppable no matter who is throwin the ball. If lloyd is torchin his guy do they double him and leave moss 1on1? What about el runnin free up the middle, when cooley must be covered too? or that swing pass to cp that made priest famous. What is wrong guys, we arent talkin about trung and danny LOL
